He said it himself, he didn't even WANT to leave to begin with, but his health issues, not being given proper time off, political clashes with Vince (who isn't even involved now) and HHH (who's retired now), and in AEW he was working with a bunch of indie guys who thought they were actual superstars. He's back where he belongs.
