I think it was done perfectly. Some of the wrestlers made references on TV I believe as a way to tell the company and punk, that they wanna do business.. then the WWE legit told them to stop because either 1. They didn't want that disappointment, or 2. They were in works and Punk wanted it to stop so it'd be a bigger surprise. I thought he was coming back until probably just the second before the music hit. I was JUST starting to push my recliner down like I was done watching the show. So I fully believe Triple H tricked the vast majority of us. and the best part? I would have been okay with that as the close of the show. I can't speak for anyone else, but CM Punk was literally just a bonus... and this comes from a guy who really does not like the War Games match all that much, but I do understand the appeal, I did love it back in the 90s when I was a kid so I know the kids are having a blast with it. A MASSIVE bonus, mind you... but the show was great. Their was only one moment I thought was.... trashy..... and I hope WWE learned their lesson never to have the women do something silly like that again.
