That promo segment between Punk & Seth was fantastic, and I think it shows how to do a promo segment with shoot elements to perfection in my opinion. Based off 3 key factors, first being they didn't just throw random insults at each other, to slag each other off to make the other look bad to get a reaction. They vented their character's point of view and explained their reasons for hating one another, in their mind they are on the right side in this, and like Simon says it allows the audience to choose who they feel is in the right, which is perfect for this feud between these lads. Second thing for me is how they incorporated the shoot elements but always brought it back to the end goal which is the match on RAW next week, it was all relevant to personal issues they have in this feud, I thought it hit the line of a bringing in reality without becoming too real. And finally the delivery was perfect from both men. They showed passion and anger, the reactions from Seth then Punk is talking is great, he's engaged in what Punk is saying and answering him off mic without cutting Punk off, so each line hits home and builds to the point to those final lines Seth where it looks like he's about to go off and start swinging. Everything worked in the segment for me and it did exactly what it was meant to do and it made me excited to see these lads fight. Both killed it and showed why both are 2 of the best of this era.

Punk and Seth prove why are 2 of the best on the mic. The promo was one of the best of the year but maybe of all time. Gable and Otis showed how good Otis really is and Gable got a big win. Dakota winning was the right choice. Iyo and Lyra had a last-minute best women's match in 2024. Even in defeat, Iyo shows why is one of the best women's wrestlers in the world.

This was an awesome segment for all the reasons Simon pointed out and more. I was in a livestream hat where WWE diehard fans were angry that Seth referred to AEW as "the competition" because "AEW is not competition". That's how good this segment was - it sucked the fans and fanboys in, and even offended some of them. I, personally, think CM Phil sucks as a TV character and in -ring performer, so WWE gave wrestling fans like me Seth to root for. The CM Punk diehards are now invested in Punk beating Seth. I loved it.

Im so torn on the lyra vs dakota finals match ........ I have loved dakota since she was in her early days in nxt. However i also adore lyra valkyria and shes so damn incredible in the ring but never gets a real chance to show it. Her and io put on a banger last night. To simplify it down to that explanation is kind of ridiculous. Punk didn't ghost Seth lol. He left everyone and then did everything he could do to try and tear down the place that meant so much to Seth. Seth really did (along with others) put the WWE on his back and do what he had to do. This is definitely the real story that aew wanted to tell with hangman page. Seth literally is, in his own mind, defending the WWE from CM punk. Let's be real, this story is incredible. You remember way back when Seth told "Phil" to stay away and called him a cancer? When they were in Nashville for summerslam in believe. The fact that all that happened and it's now come back and Seth has said it to his face.......... Chef's kiss. Also, it's amazing how professional Seth is. He clearly hates the hell out of punk in real life. I imagine punk isn't Seth's biggest fan either, but they are putting that aside and giving us a huge high profile feud. This is great and has a chance to literally be feud of the year in 2025 and it's going to happen this early. Don't simplify things for the sake of cutting it down. Enjoy the story telling because this is long term story telling at its absolute finest.
