If you are an hour or two from a debut and not even signed yet, I doubt you'd be chilling on the couch in front of your tv. Plus, it took him 20 minutes to get there, he was in his car for a spell, and he was in an office for a spell before being led to the curtain. Good chance the show was barely underway when he left the house.

It really wasn’t. 😂 Vince was STILL running WWE for the first year and a half Punk was there. And as long as Vince was there, there was no way Punk was going to come back. The window only opened after: 1) the Wall Street Journal stories reporting the allegations and hush money connected to Vince 2) The Elite deciding they want to trash Punk’s reputation for reasons 3) Triple H and Nick Khan taking over WWE 4) the All In-Jack Perry incident All of those things had to happen for Punk to be back.

Not shocking at all. He didn’t belong in the UFC at all, burned all his bridges in AEW (predictably), and his ego is too big to go to Japan or TNA. It’s only a matter of time before he burns these bridges too. Even with there being a literal behavioral clause in his contract.
