that was definitely a predator, the pred was fighting xenos that round and i got caught in the middle of their fight

This is why having an MH (magnetic harness) is so important if you aren't confident in your pickup skills, you can't drop your gun if it just goes right back into your suit slot when you fall. Also if you carry your gun one handed you move much faster, you can hit Z and duel wield it quickly to fire when it is needed.

Hey just a small tip for you. You can attach bayonets to your weapons which let's you deal increased melee damage to things like weed nodes, walls and other alien structures

In vending machine with guns you can also find attachments gun, for your like magnet that will prevent you from dropping your firearm. (I'm not sure you can find magnet attachment on CM, but on tgmc you surely can. Anyway, even without magnet you can still find some useful stuff like suppressor, bayonet and so on.

Clicking on the sprite of the enemy with a wielded gun is the surest fire way to both kill it and minimize FF, if you ever see someone shooting and your wondering why they arent hitting teammates like you do, thats likely why. Another thing that alot of people miss is the little aliens like runners drones and sentinels you shouldnt shoot with AP, shoot with regular and save AP for defenders/ravs/crushers like others have said.

Yoive probably heard it many times already, but I highly recommend giving TGMC/Terragov Marine Corps a try too. Aside from differing balance, rules and whatnot, it's got TTS, and that's worth a video in its own right.
