Again, lucky af with the Marder. I used the same tactic as you, but only having 3 tanks, I sent 2 to the open fields. Without much trouble, I advanced up that road, but was stopped at the fortifications. Meanwhile the tank on my left side was taken out by something, probably the field gun. All went pretty good up until I decided to push on the fortifications only to lose many men again due to MG fire and being too confident in building protection. Didn't loose too much, but not nearly as smooth as yours. At this point I have given up on me making it through this campaign in any proper form, so I'll just wing it and use the other campaign as a proper one, where I won't restart maps.

Practically been binging your videos for a couple of days now, I absolutely love this stuff. I didn't know about the combat mission games until a couple days ago, and now I'm just eating up all of the content I can find on it 😂 you helped me soundly defeat the Germans in the demo for Red Thunder, so thanks for that lmao. These videos deserve far more views than they have.

As usual, a very interesting video! Love your explanation of your thoughts process. Watching you always make me learn something and alse make me want to start a new game of CM!

Great video, as always. I'm pretty sure that if you set your blast order parallel with the bocage, rather than though it, the resulting hole will be big enough for a tank at the expense of just one charge. I could be wrong though.... Looking forward to the next vid in this series. From what I remember, I had my arse handed to me by the Germans in the next mission.

Sometimes blasting seems to make a big hole, sometimes a smaller one so I tend to plan for two charges. I've looked at the next mission and er... yeah. Looks like it could get pretty messy.

That is correct. The other advantage doing it that way is the pioneers don't run through the gap getting exposed .

Another great video. Hopefully it won't be too long before you are on the road again, as Canned Heat once said.

I have to confess, I thought this was called 'Le Hamlet' in a masterful piece of Franglais. Bit disappointed it's the actual village name, but who knows? Perhaps the place was renamed by British expats who'd moved to Normandy a bit ahead of the curve?

You shouldn't need to open 3 holes for a Sherman to get through. I've only ever needed 2 at most.

I believe you can have multiple concurrent versions of the game : make multiple copies of the game folder, and install the version you want in each. Or if that takes too much space, just extract the .exe for both versions, and the .brz files for the latest version, then swap the .exe and the new .brz files as needed (while taking care to play only version-appropriate saves).

Its all wizardry to me man. I'm sure it can be done, but I'm also sure I'd screw it up somehow :P

I enjoy your end of action reports, they're really cool. But I also miss your turn by turn videos where we get to experience the battle with you. Will you doing any more of those in the future?

Cheers! I'm playing on 'Elite'. Used to play on 'Iron' all the time, but the only real difference is that you can't see friendly units your selected pixeltruppen aren't aware of... which seemed pretty pointless.
@Gekkibi5 жыл бұрын
@@usuallyhapless9481 It's not about *you* not seeing friendly units when you have selected a unit. It's about the pixeltruppen not knowing where own units are. At first this sounds trivial at best, but there's a massive difference in C2 reliability between elite and iron. On elite a unit on the Moon is able to hand signal to a unit on Earth, as long as there's a line of sight between them. On iron both units have to know where the other is (if the transmitting unit doesn't know where the receiver is then they have no idea that they should start signaling. If the receiver doesn't know where the transmitting unit is then they have no idea to where to look at).
@usuallyhapless94815 жыл бұрын
@@Gekkibi That's not something I've ever noticed- doesn't mean you're wrong, it's more likely I'm not paying attention. I do know that voice contact is automatic within 50m regardless of the difficulty, except when pixeltruppen are on hide.
