It is important when packaging a patient in the CMC/SKEDCO Drag-N-Lift Harness that the sternum strap is attached and pulled snug to assure the proper positioning of the shoulder straps for a safe and comfortable lift, carry or drag of the patient.
The CMC/SKEDCO Drag-N-Lift Harness is a great all-around patient packaging device for Confined Space Rescue. It can be used to lift a patient vertically, carry them horizontally or drag them when the situation requires it. It is important to remember that a rigid spreader bar no wider than 18” (45cm) must be used in conjunction with the Drag-N-Lift when used to perform a vertical lift.
