My friend wants to ask I have a problem with my 744 sound device, so the problem is the phantom indicator LED, cf LED, internal LED, 1.2 LED track is dead, why is that?

If those functions are turned on and those LEDs aren't lighting up, then that might mean the LEDs aren't working. You may need to replace the LEDs there. I think that's something you might want Sound Devices themselves to repair.

Dam man this thing is a beest. It's complex as hell. Ya need lots and lots of pacience. I love it though. Too bad it's $4000. I want 1. It's so hi quality sounding. But no wander my friend Neal had to braille out the settings. I'd get all confused and stuff as this recorder like most sadly doesn't speak. I really wish they would learn from Olympus. Their DM and LS recorders well not all the LS 1s but more than not speak.

Thanks for the video! I just got a 744T as my main recorder. I have a question, should I use my SD MM-1 between my boom and 744t or is not really an improvement? Are the pre-amps of the 744t better than the MM-1? Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't put that MM-1 in between unless you absolutely had to boost the signal more than what the 744T can do internally for some reason. Basically, I'd put the boom directly into the 744T.
