I just can't enjoy him myself, he never stops talking about / referencing weed. I get it's his 'thing' but it gets old really fast, especially seeing I am from Canada and we smoke weed like we breath oxygen these days. Not just these days, there is a reason it was legalized, it was already more common than drinking was here. Gloating about smoking weed is just juvenile, not unlike rapping about other drugs. His rhymes and flow is sick, but it's the way he crafts everything to be about weed that just makes me roll my eyes no matter how much I want to like him.

He doesn't rely on a particularly special voice or delivery like some rappers that just sound good without trying. And like you say, he talks about bud a lot. But the way he puts words together is another level sometimes. Best example I can think of is: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5jNq62Pm8d2qrM&t=52 The "any time I rock a show" passage is just savage.
