I wonder why we don't have such lectures here in Germany. Well explained, thanks a lot!

Way better than what we have in Germany! Thank you for such clear explanation!

Great explanation! One thing I should stress, is that the professor should have explained where does the a1(x-x0) actually come from. In fact, P1(x) = P0(x) + R1(x) with deg(R1(x))

Thanks for the video. Clear and easy to follow. I have a question abt a multi dimensional interpolation method. Suppose I have two Independent variables and one dependent variable, how can I set up a polynomial interpolation using Lagrange or Newton's method? Please help.

Check my playlists. There are several of them on numerical computation. For example: kzbin.info/aero/PLbxFfU5GKZz29nXsWchAN1c3WsgiMiSXd kzbin.info/aero/PLbxFfU5GKZz3eiOEkcl2By5pYO2CJxZK7 kzbin.info/aero/PLbxFfU5GKZz3D4NPYvvY7dvXiZ0awd4zn

Thank you for sharing; it is a very clear and helpful video. However, I think degree of freedom should be n-1 instead of n+1, isn't it?
@melissachen15817 жыл бұрын
I think it should be degree n but n+1 polynomial combinations.
@ChrisOffner4 жыл бұрын
There are n + 1 coefficients to be found, a_0, a_1, ..., a_n. That results in n + 1 degrees of freedom.
