Cms & ed karne ke baad aapko right hai medicine prescribe karne ka as per Supreme court judgment 2003, but abhi tak GOI nai ispai koi law nai banaya hai. CMO ye keh ke deny kar sakta hai ke unke pas koi orders nai hai. Recently National commission for Allied and Healthcare professions act aya hai, cur usmai 56 professions ko include kiya hai but abhi usmai cms ed nai hai. Ho sakta hai ismai cms ed aage chake include ho.

Any private company can seek registration under The Society Act 1860, so that cannot be a considered as a Government organization. In absence of Central Council/act on Paramedical & Allied professionals lots of states formed their own Private or Government bodies to conduct such courses, without any unformity. But with the implementation of The National commission for Allied and Healthcare professions, things will change, all the existing institutions will need to get registered under this commission.

Medicine ki koi standard guidelines nai hai, jab supreme court 2003 ka judgment aaya tab 42 medicines thi. We believe aage chalke koi Government notification aaye. Yeh isi tarah hai ki koi institute 18 months ka course karate hai aur koi 2 years ka. Jab tak iski koi regulatory authority nai banegi tab tak institute apne regulations karte rahenge. Thats a very good question, To answer it lets talk about legal status of CMS & Ed. Hon’ble Supreme Court has goven the right to prescribe medicine to Cms ed Degree Holder, Supreme court also instructed to create provision for State registry. Aapne dekha hoga jitne bhi professionals state medical registration mai aate hai unke saare rules & regulations predefined hai. Unke college's ka bhi recognition system hota hai. Ab aate hai cms ed ke baare mai, iska koi central act nai hai aur abhi tak koi state medical registry nai bani hai iska matlab koi predefined rules nai hai. Ab aapke question pe aate hai, Agar Supreme Court ke judgement ko base mane to Sign board pe aap primary healthcare centre likh sakte hai, kyu ko ye Clinical Establishments Act ke purview se bahar hai. Prescription pe bhi aap CMS and ED degree likh sakte hai along with the refrence of the letter issued by CMO Dont use Dr. Prefix as is not applicable Recently national commission for allied and healthcare professions act pass hua hai, ho sakta hai aage chalke cms ed bhi ismai include ho jaye, tab aapke professions ke rules regulations clearly defined honge

I have the same question. But I get the news from some where that Doctor of pharmacy is based on the study of making medicines for the Patient and MBBS is the study of Diagnosis and treatment of the Patient. Some where infact CMS-ED comes in the Criteria Of Diagnosis of the Patient.

Good question. Well you can open a primary healthcare centre after CMS Ed and that too with the permission of CMO. The clinic (Primary healthcare centre specifically) don't come under the purview of Clinical Establishments Act. You need to have registration under any system of medicine to get it registered

I am having great confusion.. Pls clear my doubt because I trust u a lot... So... If anybody does BHMS and then go for CMSED...then he/she can practice general medicines in private clinic in a city?? The one can open clinic on basis of bhms degree and practice both Homeopathy and those 40 allopathic medicines??

Well, very good and valid question. So, BHMS is a recognized system of Medicine, you do it from a recognized college and get your name registered and there are proper regulatory authorities, infact Ethics are also defined, which do not encourage myxopathy. On the other hand CMS & ED is based in a Judgment issued by Supreme Court in 2003, and despite of its instructions till now there is no provision of State registry, offcourse they have the right to prescribe medicines but the institution providing this course are not recognized by any Central authority. I don't want to say it but lots of people are taking advantage of that Judgment and just to get admission, quoting wrong claims. The place where CMS & ED practice is called primary healthcare centre not clinic and you cant prefix Dr. Before your name. So as a Doctor I would suggest dont go for myxopathy and stick you your Ethics

There is no set guidelines for minimum standards for the institutions providing CMS Ed course. So if you are selecting the institute check if they are not making any fake claims. And if any Government Guidelines come for the registration process they must be able to comply with that. Survey for the qualifications of the faculty and the curriculum. The best way is to check with the people who have already passed out from the same institute.

Jab Government Allied Healthcare Professionals ke liye Registration system la sakti hai to CMS Ed bhi ek Registered system of Practice mai aayega. I hope that decesion/provision comes soon. Par iska matlab yeh nai hai ke aapko medicine prescribe karne ka right nai hai, wo aapka right hai as per 2003 judgement

I would suggest that you should open a institute for "The Allied Healthcare Professionals" instead of CMS & Ed. Because you can get its recognition and will be more secure in future.
