CMT DISEASE Type 2A update

I had an appointment today with my GP, to discuss the recent and ongoing issues with my CMT disease. She has made several referrals, and listened to everything I had to say. I felt like I was mentioning too many “issues“, but she was willing to listen to all of it, and didn’t just refer me to neurology to make the appointment quicker. I wish all GPs were like this. I’ve had many in the past where they have simply made a quick referral to get their job over and done with, and then I have seen the neurologist for example, only to be told, That whatever problem I am discussing is due to CMT - well obviously! But that’s always where their help stops. This time it seems to be that even the GP has listened to me which is breath of fresh air!

Sadly, I suspect the lack of checkups is due to the number of sufferers vs available funds, thus they find it more expensive to treat you than someone with a more common ailment such as SPMS like me.The phrase that gets me is “no discernible change” even if you find things more difficult. But that’s year on year, it doesn’t look at two or three years before.
