She is also a honkai player, so maybe she just doesn’t want to see spoilers. Or maybe if she reads it, the impact is much different. Reading a sad story sometimes just makes you feel sad, but watching the same story in a movie format can make you cry because of the music, the emotional voice, and the scenery that you can see instead of just imagining it.

I like the fact that most of the final veteran captains are ending their journey starting from this chapter till the fuhua one. Including myself. Me ending my journey precisely in here. Been playing since the start of the game, n now i, no, every veterans got IRL stuffs to do now so they stopped playing, but still carrying Kiana/her friends will along the way. Let the season 1 be HI3RD Artifavys, for the newer captains to see our legacys

I think this is exactly the kind of emotional impact that Genshin and HSR will forever fail to actually have. When a single character appearing and saying a single word can break you like that. I fail to shed any tears playing Genshin or HSR. The impact is just not there. The last time i feelt like something was done great was HSR and the Tingyun-Scene. It was unexpected at the time but if you looked back, so obvious. It was foreshadowed in so many places, but just vague enough to fool people. But even HSR can't get the level of emotions out of me as Honkai Impact does. Yes there were deaths in Genshin and HSR, but never did it hit a character you spent YEARS attaching to. Himeko was such a shock for me that i LITERALLY stopped playing HI3 because i got scared of what would happen and when i finally picked it back up the following Chapters did not make it better. The level of pure suffering that Trailers and the Story put the characters through. The constant fear of another one being 'killed' It's something HSR and Genshin currently lack. I can see HSR going there, Shaoji probably only bides his time until Himeko is targetted (we know Welt is somewhat safe unless they come up with a really cruel way of him being sent back to his origin World) As a Seele Fanboy i literally was contemplating uninstalling the Game again and avoiding the Game forever, just so i'd never find out how Part 1.5 ended. Because i thought not knowing was better than knowing and finding out one of the two actually disappeared.

While agree when it comes to genshin. I think it's worth noting that chapter 9 in hi3 took nearly 2 years to come out. While HSR is nearing that point now. I would t count HSR put yet considering it's got honkai in the name.

@@KoKoNuTz232 It's possible, but i think their aim for HSR is more of a less-serious Installment which still has it's moments. After all they've given us Tingyun, seemingly killed her off and are now bringing her back as Fugue. I honestly feel HSR won't go the route of killing off an established Character for good. Unless they kill Screwllum, considering the poor dude has been around since the start and still ain't playable.

@@MikayaAkyo I could see fugue being a character who causes chaos but so far, there doesn't seem to be an established villain or tragic backstory told, no reason yet for anything to get serious so I agree with you there. It's possible things are still ramping up, considering the world isn't small in HSR as we literally travel to different planets. I am hoping star rail gets more serious though.

@@KoKoNuTz232 I feel like in maybe 2 years is when HSR's story will become more 'serious' or whenever else HoYo decides to push the plot forward more seriously. At this point they're setting up the whole thing Luocha and Jingliu are plotting, last thing we heard they employed Ruan Mei to bring back Tingyun as Fugue. But we gotta keep in mind that if that's the 'main plot' that's gonna be the most important, we'll probably only get that with time as our next main destination is supposed to be whatever the place was called that Black Swan implied. I'm a bit unsure how 'chaotic' Fugue will make things. It depends solely on what Ruan Mei, Luocha and Jingliu are actually plotting and how much that causes Chaos and how little of Tingyun is in Fugue. Judging by the Drip-Marketing she is almost entirely Tingyun but it's likely she's also partially Swarm due to Ruan Mei's questionable field of experiments. But yeah the fact her Drip Marketing states her as a 'tactful foxian girl' and mentions her returning home it feels like she's mostly Tingyun but she can't return to the Luofu until she's done with whatever they need/want her for. Honestly i'm starting to lose track of all the Groups in HSR because all of them seem to remain somewhat important even after their 'main plot' is done. Jingliu and Luocha get drips of exposure every now and then, so they're definetly important The IPC is also a constant Stellaron Hunters also are almost always involved The Vidyadhara Elders are also still stirring up trouble How 'defeated' the Worshippers of Order are i don't know either And then there's also Ifrit's Children who are still around considering one of them actually spoke to Black Swan AFTER Acheron already killed Ifrit. So maybe they'll also get to shine in the future (I just refuse to believe HoYo would waste such designs for a one-off Short when that Anihillation Gang Subgroup that was thrown into disarray by the Stellaron Hunters consisted of Copy&Paste Goat-Humans.)

Nanook being the villain isn't helping in terms of story telling as of right now there appears no way to challenge an Aeon directly. Phantylia would have been a good start, but alas, she is gone and has been for ages. The only reason I mentioned fugue is because of her connection to phantylia. As of right now, the story is stale. Penacony was just a call back to project stigma without the same level of stakes. The fake deaths were crappy story telling too. Back to luofu and the story seems to be heading nowhere. If they don't establish something soon, I fear it will become like genshin.
