Thanks for these videos! My mother is in hospice and I am her caregiver. She is now bedridden and I have been nervous about bathing her and changing her sheets. After watching these, I feel much more confident in what I need to do to care for her properly! The CNAs that come in to help once a day are amazing (she doesn't want them bathing her). They answer all of my questions and give me tips and advice on what I need to do. Wouldn't be able to survive without them!

Biggest part to passing the skills exam is TALKING your way through it... Make sure you communicate with the patient the entire time! Verbal skills are huge... checking to see if they are ok every time you do something new. GREAT video! This is exactly one of the five of my skills I had to perform for the exam - the hardest one and I passed because I talked my way through it seriously! Remember to check the bracelet and date of birth BEFORE starting every skill! The only thing which was different for me was that we weren't taught to change out the gloves in between the changing.

Thank you so much for these videos they are really some of the best videos I have seen. Hi there........did you verify or re-check the information they told you?(about the rails)......or if you have taken the American Red Cross examination.......have you had the chance to find out about it?........does that rule apply to California?........would you be kind enough to let us know? it would be great........but if you go beyond greatness you can send me a text message to 1818__984_98_43 .........I'm gonna take the test and I have to pass it at once; because the expiration date I won't have time to retest. Watch Myjab I agree at 2:38. She actually made a mistake. With the dirty linens she let it touch the clean ones. Also when she got the fitted sheet roll up under the patient. She didn’t wipe down the mattress. And then she let the clean fitted sheet touch the dirty mattress and the dirty fitted sheet up under the patient. And throw the nasty gloves on the counter. Lots lots of mistake. Do not go by the video. All states are different.

You made sure there wasn’t any wrinkles in the sheets of the draw sheet under her, which was wonderful, but her gown was all wrinkled and wadded up under her that you rolled her over on. Also, if the patient is incontinent, you would put a chuck or a bed pad under her. You did a really good job. ♥️👏

I know this is a training video. .but in the real world of CNA. It's highly unlikely there going to take the time to change there gloves that many times ect..with a over load of patients. .it runs alot faster ..yes indeed

This is a training video for the state exam. So everything included in the video needs to be done in order to pass. IRL you may not follow every state regulation but you gotta pass the state exam to get a job as a CNA.

6 of us siblings, had this down perfectly with our Father and Mother...no nursing home in our family. Wish i was able to work in a nursing home! The stories ive heard, and the high cost people pay, why cant they get home health? Id rather just die alone than be killed

I'm starting CNA school soon, but just had a question. Everyone is mentioning the leaving the bed rail down when she left but what qualifies as leaving her side? Can you go to the foot of the bed or other side with it down? I'm sure they'll answer in class but I'm a little nervous!

Thanks for this video. I needed this. I start tomorrow. Have never done this type of work in my life and no on hand training at all. Just getting thrown in, by my lonesome, in their homes, tomorrow!! 😳 I just had to watch a "bathing the elderly in bed", as well. Have to say, I'm a little "skeered". Lol 🥺

Can you guys please make an update with patients with COVID19? I need to know how to treat this type of patients without offend them or threaten them. In other words, I want to treat them with dignity without of them feeling that they are a thread.

I have taken the CNA classes for almost three month and I completed the classes last month it was 90 hours and I pass all my classes exams but then I decided to not move forward in taking the Skills Test because I feel like the CNA career it not really a good fit for me, I want to do more in the Medical field so I'm going to contiune and I'm going take the Patients Care program much better field, I don't want to just clean up patients or feeding them so I'm taking the next step in the Medical Field...
