CNA Skill: Bedpan & Output

Hi, I have a simple question: why the bedpan is only rinsed and not washed with soap and water? isn't that going to spread diseases if the patient is sick?

Usually each patient gets their own bedpan so it isnt like a community one or anything--also, we usually spray some disinfectant in it to after we are done but most likely for testing that is not needed. You would probably learn that during orientation at your actual CNA job.
