Well done Singapore for preserving your old buildings and finding new use for them. Other countries can learn a lot from you.

In Kuala Lumpur, most unique old building were pull down either it doesn't look ''Malay'' enough, or too ''Chinese''. It goes down the same path just like the ''Pre Malay'' heritage across ''Tanah Malaya'' during independence, then later emphasise and generation of brainwash by racist politician as ''Tanah Melayu''. Everything been wipe out and more towards Arabization in Malay culture. Pathetic.

Ray No need to " misrepresent". Contrary to your racist view, Malaysia does not try to erase heritage of Chinese community. I presume you must the one racist Singaporean. But as goes the saying, one swallow does not make a summer. What happened in olden days were lack of appreciation of unique features of old buildings. So, many beautiful a tructures were demolished. Not because of racism but people at that time were indifferent to old building But as we grow wiser, we begin to realise old structures have stories to tell, stories of days gone by. So we begin to take notice. Former premier Tun did once say that he was in his motorcade passing one street of KL. He saw a run down building, European styled that was about to be demolished. He notices how beautiful the building must have been at its prime. Tun, being the PM ordered for the building to be repaired. Now it houses Telecommunication Museum. As for racist people like you, while we celebrate our diversity, let us not forget that when " your ancestors"landed in this land, they landed on land rules by Malay Sultans. So. You too must not erase history by painting Malays as being racist
