S'poreans are very rich indeed, spending lavishly on cny yusheng. Many thanks to the govt for creating abundant job opportunities with quality pay for the people. Remarkable! ❤❤

🙏 Noticing many ordered the Vegan / Vegetarian Yu Sheng for " Lau Hei " = Stir for Prosperity in Cantonese Lunar New Tradition after the Covid-19 Global Pandemic & many raw fish food poisoning scares over the years ... Vegetarian / Vegan Yu Sheng also much more affordable & having longer shelf life! 😊🙏 Wishing Happy Lunar New Year 2024 of the Wood Dragon to Everybody! 🌷🌿🍎🍊🌍💖🐉🇸🇬

Singaporeans should take back the money from these packages but not feel obligated to support the PAP in the coming polls.

$92.00 is well too expensive even with inflation, labour costs, etc. No need to eat also “Huat”. It’s just a New Year dish to add to the festivities.

Lo Hei though is fun and bonding dish, it is grossly overpriced for the ingredients. The shredded cucumbers, white radish, pickled gingers, crackers, grounded pepper , sesame, grounded ground nuts , plum sauce are all very low cost items. The only more expensive item is the thin slices of raw salmon or smoked salmon. It’s too costly a dish & very messy with the tossing. Unhygienic too with everyone shouting out the good wishes there with be added saliva sprinkling too. For that price, might as well order a nice plate of mixed sashimi.

The year of "loong". Chinese has use “loong” to stay away from western "dragon" . For they are totally different legendary animal. Chinese loong : Maintain good weather for farmer Western Dragon : love gold , greedy , evil .

@xz-se6br LoL Quoting a source from Singapore. Not so credible, eh? Now, China wants to claim credit for its creation, too, when its own people don't even know what Yu Sheng or Yee Sang was 10 years ago. Singaporeans, please don't behave like China Mainlanders, even though your immigration policies are letting them in like water through mosquito nets 🤣
@KeoNz
@KeoNz 6 ай бұрын
@@zukinny100 at least there's a source. What do you or Malaysia even have except just claiming it? Extensive debunking have already been done. The "Yu Sheng" Malaysia claim to have invented does not even look like the current version. Its just raw fish with green veges and some other sauce. The current colorful Yu Sheng 七彩鱼生 with the use of plum sauce popular and widely eaten during CNY in SG & MY now is invented by the "4 heavenly king" chefs in Singapore.

Yee Sang literally meant raw fish originated from the guangdong province in China. The modern Yee Sang known as 七彩鱼生 with the use of plum sauce, various color ingredients and the tradition of tossing was modified by the 4 heavenly chefs in Singapore. Hence, modern Yee Sang in its current form is invented and originally from Singapore.
