Improvement can done for same day collection. 0. There are 2 login portal instead of one and different taps of data to be entered. So it can be confusing which one to used. Do save your entry regularly else u need to redo multiple times. 1. Danga Bay TCsens: Shelter provided did not block the Morning sun. Only 1 Fan provided and facing no one😂 Hence very hot from 7.30-9am wait. 2. High demand Photocopying machine (only1) usually not working for appointment printout from them etc. U need to walk to far end of the road and get a private hotel to print the schedule. Wifi is slow too. Used data roaming. 3. Morning processing is fast, but do come earlier along with your packed breakfast snacks or kopi. 4. Outdoor Chairs not available until 9am. U can check the storeroom for look for one else u need to stand till 9am. Bring an umbrella as queue can be very long and hot. They should provide fans along the queue. 5. Need to ask the front desk to check and ensure all entries is correct according to document. They can also key in wrongly. So u need to verify yourself to avoid re-visit for corrections. 6. Ask thofficial to help on the update to verified status and complete tag collection appointment screen. 6.Ask for Vep tag and sticking appointment on the same day. 7. There are 2 given different website portal to use. Don't miss this. 8. Ask the front desk to clear your personal login data on their tablet. 9. Best to bring our own laptop. 10. Dont argue with nice front desk stuff. They are just following the process.😊 Tag stations: 1. More front desk personnel should be appointed as tag sticking is faster that verification process. 2. Carpark lots should be maximise to process more cars during peak hrs. Tag Location should allow or have at least 10-15 cars lanes to be process in parallel to avoid long queue and unnecessary re -visits. 3. All employees should have drinks and sufficent shelters/fans.. it is really too hot for them. 4. Tag counters front desk should not collect any hardcopy of personal data. Screenshot and thumb drive need to disable❤ Others: 2 weeks verification process and email process is too long. Increase resources and equipment for same day approval 3. Forget about appointment, it is usually fully booked. Portal don't allow longer choice of date e.g. till end 2025

@KuSaNaG1
@KuSaNaG1 Ай бұрын
You never tried to apply when it was first announce way back when? Be grateful it's smooth now, the complaints stemmed from the insanely stupid and inefficient way the registration worked in the past. It took me around 6 months to get it done, cause half the time, the website is not available and/or all the links are broken on their website. People used to have to make an appointment and drive into Johor to have someone stick the RFID tag. I heard if you are early they will refuse to serve you and ask you to wait, even though the staff are just sitting around idle. If you are late, they will ask you to make another appointment. If you change cars and did not remove the tag, you are told you cannot apply for another one without returning the old one... But your tag is already gone with the old car... It's not people's fault for not wanting to apply early, it's all the horror stories and bad experiences that detered people.

He went into the office to show that printed email and slip the kopi money to the person at the counter. The VEP was approved immediately. The RFID tag was applied and approved immediately. When driver came back, a lot ppl ask him how can he do this. He replied that “ u can call police, I will get fine only but don’t need to pay at all” and ya ya papaya drive off. From here can tell we can’t do anything to them too at this moment. About 1 years ago,In Facebook someone nothing to do by taking photos of Malaysia car to check how many cars didn’t pay fine and results out 90% of them didn’t pay fine and some can have outstanding over $1000 for many years. If u go Tuas checkpoint which I daily pass by, u will see 7:30 to 9 am, thousands of bike speedy more then 110km/h at 80 km/h AYE. Yellow big bus drive towards Tuas checkpoint always speed over 100 km/h. But normally TP always chase local only. Got once I saw TP stop local van and didn’t stop yellow bus which both speeding. Look like they know catch them is useless, they won’t pay the fine. I can create video of driving 5 days per week of yellow bus speeding at AYE near Tuas but I will get caught first because the speed limit is 80km/h. Because I mention 100 km/h. In fact most of the time there drive 120km/h will be precise.

Usually if stopped by authorities, u can tell if the officers were genuine or fake by looking at their expression. For the fake ones, they will let u go with just a warning if they spot the dashcams. 1st The system is not sustainable at Malaysia end, as the continuous cost of VEP application for Singapore cars is perpetual. Singapore cars are mostly driven for 10 years only. Coupled, with the need for replacements for damages, change of car, disposing of car etc. 2nd only a fraction of Singapore cars, frequently travel to Malaysia, it discourages or simply put off majority who travels infrequently. Imagine a country that has strict visa application requirements, it is akin to give a signal that first time visitors are not welcome. 3rd To prevent Singapore cars being stolen, is a weak argument. Tearing off the sticker will disable the RFID function, when the car is stolen and cannibalised or whatever. 4th To collect summons? 3.5MRM since 1990's, I believe 60% of those summons are already invalid, as most of those cars have already been scrapped. To prevent the same from happening again? This we have to wait and see how effective, it actually is, when the car is eventually scrapped. Singapore itself, does not try to trace these unpaid summons as it knows it is futile, and a waste of resources. 5th The VEP webiste, after so many years, have yet being improved, and I doubt it would be relevant in few years time, and again a money pit, to revamp.

🙏 Yes , this is how pitiful when dealing with Malaysian governmental documentation application by Malaysians too , they have to go down to their respective branches to get the proper informations , forms & necessary documentations ready & come back in appropriate day to have to queue up in very unuserfriendly premises in some states ... Some branches are better than others ... Bring along umbrella or foldable chair if the queue is long , & stop drinking or eating 2 to 3 hours earlier & go visit the toilet first before queuing as there might not be any toilet nearby in certain premises , except if there are coffee shops situated nearby , just in case! Malaysia is still needed to learn from Singapore in dealing with National Documentation application & delivery to their citizens , PR or foreign applicants in a more professional & smoother ways! There are good changes coming as more digitalization on processes being implemented & newer more comfortable premises being set-up to deal with these governmental documentation applications in JB , Putrajaya or KL in the future! Thanks for sharing the process. Now we have a better idea of what to anticipate. Fyi, I registered mine way back before COVID. Nothing has been approved since then. And when I requested to change my email used back then(as I am no more using the email account now), I was told to de-register my application. 3 weeks have passed. My de -registration status is still Pending Verification...another lengthy process...😅😅

For people who living or working in JB have no other option. Getting the VEP for your vehicle is the only way to drive in to Johor. Extremely time consuming and hassle taking. But for those who’s drive in for leisure just forget about it. Or wait until Jb/Malaysia to simplify the system or registration with efficiency for the VEP application. I dun believe the system cannot be improved since VEP was been mentioned years ago. Seem like the “inefficiency” is mend on purpose. Why wasted so much efforts but yet disgusted by them? Dont waste time, time cost money too! I rather save up my time and money in Singapore or fly some where else for relaxation. After trying out for more the 3 times to apply for the VEP more than 5 months ago still on pending! But expected lah! Singaporean, we have other better options too! Never stick to a dead well!

If singapore can ask malaysian drivers for the same details, then malaysia too has the right to ask Singaporean drivers for the same details. We Malaysians can also just say we don't trust the cybersecurity in the Singaporean system. Hacks can happen anywhere in the world, even in Israel a country which has the most advanced AI technology in the world n yet there breaches. That was just typical kiasuness n nothing else.

I think this need to be looked at if we are having this system fairly across both borders (just put it specifically for bikes commuting from MY to SG). What about their outstanding fines? I guess its a known and open issues yet to be resolved - fines that doesnt matter to foreign vehicles
