These kids don't come straight to secondary school. They were from primary school. Primary school teachers had to deal with them first. Their character and behaviour has always been like that since Primary school.

Please do more documentary on it. It's pretty amazing in what they are doing. I'm a NT student as well and I'm really amazed there's such a school for us. It's really not where you start but where you end up in life. So good luck and don't worry about it now.

Crest is doing a fantastic job. You can see the patience and understanding of the teachers. Agree with one of the teachers that there's a reason behind disruptive behaviour. Maybe Liang En has mild ADHD so a different behavioural approach is needed for him to understand?

I am very happy that our government spends so much money on these students. Not just the infrastructure, but the teachers, the (professional!!!) CCA coaches, and the industry internship programmes. I am quite happy to be taxed to pay for this. Compare this to the inner city schools of American cities, where these students will be just thrown away as rubbish and later become a societal problem. This is a much better approach to education of the lesser students.

hk has a lot to learn from sg... in hk these poor kids would just be put in the special needs section and literally nothing done w them to make them useful to society.

Why are you taxed for these students to simply become MacDonald staff?
@John_Smith_864 күн бұрын
@@93hothead They most likely won't be McDonald's workers. Realistically, they will be technicans, other blue-collar workers, retail staff, and so forth. Rayyan that solo was so so fire!! Amazing amazing job!! Dancing is such a fine art to master and not everyone can get the hang of it, especially niche arts like this! Also, for a first time guiding others, you did really well! Guiding someone is hard and you managed to coordinate a team in such a short timeframe sucessfully! Don't stop following your passions and dreams, you'll definitely go far! :)))

omg im like- so proud of each and everyone of them and i loved how patient the teachers were ! although my school was a little more on the "prestigious" side, i never had fun there ever- like EVER. And seeing how these kids were given so many opportunities to explore beyond just academics and grades (which was pretty much the only things i was given the time for in my schooling experience) was so heartwarming. i wish all of them nothing but the best and i just kNOW their futures are bright :)

This is the best secondary school in Singapore. We were the first batch of Normal Technical students in 1990, and back then, teacher often looked down upon and penalized compared to the Normal Academic and Express streams. But now, I see all my friends from ITE doing well in business and excelling in many areas. There’s no such thing as a “stupid” student-sometimes, it's just that the skill hasn’t fully opened up yet.

16:12 i really dislike parents who continue to have kids despite not being able to care for already existing ones, why are they making thei older kids take care of the younger kids ? they should not be pushing such responsibility to young kids, if they want to help, thats great, but nasir clearly needs help in math and even signed up for remidial lessons, but he has to go home anyways what are his parents doing? having more kids and creating more problems for their existing children?

Its a religious belief. In the Muslim world the more children a couple can have the greater the contribution to the Muslim community, pretty counter intuitive if your broke and still want a big family tbh, but it is just reality. You can search it up why “Muslims want more children?” Edit: And yes this is a targeted answer pointing out Nasir being Muslim. If you want a general answer blame the parents for being naive and foolish.

It is weird but these schools looks for companies that wants to work with them. If there are more companies on board, I am sure the school would give the kids go to better choices. But it is important to teach these kids everywhere you go, is a learning point. Valerie indeed was sent to somewhere that is not her choice, but she persevere and it is commendable. Hopefully she can keep in mind like "I do not want to go through this or work here so I must push forward and be better."
