@YAM198122 күн бұрын
I fully agree, as that has been my experience as well, despite hearing so many negative things beforehand. Moreover, as a woman, I have been treated with a level respect, empathy and kindness by Muslims that I haven't frankly witnessed in my own community. What I found most touching though is their dedication to their faith, as well as the breadth and depth of their generosity, which as I observed surpassed the material and monetary interpretation and practice I've witnessed in my community, and encompassed emotional and spiritual generosity. Yes, I came across some "bad apples", but my overall experience has been heartwarming, humbling and transformative. I never dared to say this publicly or say it out-loud to anyone before out of fear of being rebuked or labeled by my community or by those with links to it. However, I feel these days increasingly obligated to share my experience given the wide scale of oppression and defamation directed towards those absolutely beautiful people and their amazing faith.

not really rare if you are in the right healthy & thriving practicing muslim community. you’ll find even more shocking ones; these amazing people are competing in their race towards God’s highest favor. but indeed, it is always heart-wrenching to actually witness one with our own eyes like this video. In Islam, the definition of ‘best among humankind’ is: "The best of humans are those who are the most beneficial to others." [role model, Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him]. This hadith (narration) is in line with the words of Allah in Al-Quran (Surah Al-Isra: verse 07): "If you do good, you are actually doing good for yourself." All these and this woman reminds me of numerous Psychologists’ research papers on Altruism that I’ve read before. On how doing good to others are actually doing good to oneself in so many ways including psychologically, physiologically, mentally, and more. Great video to kickstart a deep introspections on personal journey in one’s own life so far…really make one aspires to be as great as her and doing more for others (esp in current times). Sorry for the sudden essay.

Salam from London. Proud of you and parents sacrificing. I read somewhere in Europe that you pay as what you afford. Hence it is fair that those who afford should pay more instead exploiting your goals. I will definitely pay double or more if I stop over in Singapore again.

they have my utmost respect. there are times when they don't break even just because they want to help the needy. the parents are aging summore, and yet still find the energy to do this kind of charity

instantly tear up watching this feature. may her parents be healthy and she's blessed with long life to see others emulate her family's effort in the future towards a caring community. hard to find these days people who do business not only to survive financially (and have enough savings for rainy days ahead) but helping others daily.

This is what it means to be a "customer-centric" business. From what I can tell, they earn and sustain their business through the quantity of plates/food sold so simply buying food from them (and maybe letting them keep the change, if you can afford to) will be the way we can support their social enterprise.
@buddhapiyao13152 ай бұрын
So much thought has gone into her business. People who can afford should voluntarily donate her funds or produce to run her stall. some can donate a 20 kg sack of rice, some can donate fresh vegetables, some can donate oil, a group of 10 people can come forward to donate some fresh chicken or meat ect and some can simply give her some cash to fund 10 meals or so. every dollar matters. with some generosity from the community and neighbourhood, this girl and her parents can keep feeding the underprivileged.

Hani quite simply you and your parents have hearts of Gold. You do more than the social services can. You prevent hunger. People can sustain their health with your food. You are very sharp in your marketing. You even know your customers wear dentures so the texture of the food should not be tough. For stalls like yours government should refund 100% your GST because you are more on social services than business.

Hani and her family is so thoughtful, they cook based on how the elderly would eat, boneless mutton, less oil etc and even think to place the sequence of the dishes accordingly so that the old folks easy to memorise the dishes. Mashallah, they might not earn much but in shaallah Allah will place barakah in their life and rizq. Hopefully some vendors watching this could give them good price for the produce. ❤ Love fr Malaysia

This is what we should emulate. Everyone nowadays are so obsessed with what they can get for themselves, to be first in the queue, to make the most profit. Even driving we can see greediness in so many. We know you have make a living, feed your family but you need to pause for a moment, think by overstepping on others to make more money is this is correct way? Even when you press to keep the elevator doors open, some incoming passengers just pretend nothing happened. We use to very civilised and polite society, queuing for everything and caring for others. Thank you. Your kind work will bring you many generations of happiness because they emulate your act of kindness and it definitely brings JOY.
