I think the next big thing will be A.I. For enduring growth akin to META, it's vital to avoid impulsive decisions driven by short-term fluctuations. Prioritise patience and a long-term perspective most importantly consider financial advisory for informed buying and selling decisions.

A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. I have to say whilst Jensen handles every interview well and is one of the top 3 CEOs in the world right now the quality of Katie Tarasov is unbelieveably refreshing. I've heard AMD has been doing better lately though with software compatibility, but they also have raised their prices after gaining a little bit of market share. Meanwhile, Intel is on the tail of AMD gaining market share at a cheaper price! Good luck AMD! Here's to more competition in the GPU space! 😅

This is a myth. If they wanted to, they could order more wafers from TSMC. In fact, they were supposed to receive more wafers, but decided to cut them down (back in ~October 2022, as I remember). They decided not to create more GPUs, deliberately, as a choice - to artificially slow down supply, sell Ampere stock, and inculcate a new price floor on consumers for generations to come.

@@Mrfiufaufou It's literally the exact opposite. You can't blame people for making choices that benefit themselves: their budgets are tight, the information they have about the products they consume is limited, their education is inadequate, etc. You're putting the burden on the wrong people. You know who you can blame? The entity that oversees the entire chain of production. The entity who makes all the decisions about their product. The entity that fully understands what their product is, does, and how much it costs. The entity that unilaterally sets prices, that avoids regulations, that rips off or lies to consumers in a myriad of ways.

@Steven S. You're attacking a point that no one made. No one said that you need a 4090. But everyone is correctly saying that GPU prices are too high. Yeah, NVIDIA was a gaming hardware company and for years produced great affordable gaming GPUs that suprisingly worked for 3D pro work using Maya and Softimage while Real3D and Permedia were selling super pricey cards for that. The scientific/AI compute is relatively recent but it was pretty easy to see where that was going when NVIDIA introduced shaders. To be fair, BitBoys never-made-to-market Pyramid3D had computable pixel pipelines too.

If you have an idea, absolutely try to pursue it with AI and or buy using the A100 I wish she could have asked a few better questions or follow ups on supply chain management or the fact he said he would chase TSMC to the desert. This is very important especially when thinking about the future (not just for jobs) Would have thought a more laid back interview would have been better. @danielkisel5661 Жыл бұрын
It's called desser not lowpass what you mean is a compressor that suppress upper midrange frequencies, lowpass would make them sound muddy if they actually used it to effectively suppress s sounds... Just saying.
@Xld3beats
@Xld3beats Жыл бұрын
@@danielkisel5661 to be really picky, it's usually implemented as a dynamic EQ (when a certain frequency gets loud enough, reduce the loudness of that frequency) But yeah it drives a lot of us nuts, to the point where we've developed de-eSSers
@danielkisel5661
@danielkisel5661 Жыл бұрын
@Xld3 Yes, but desser was the tool that was originally created just for this purpose, to reduce the harshness and sibilance in sound. First dessers were hardware based way before dynamic eq was even possible. And honestly difference between dynamic eq and multiband compressor is more vocabulary than real use case. So yes dynamic eq is just the most flexible and can do it all basically, but I would still use and prefer to use dedicated desser which was fine tuned over the years to react just to sibilance something like Weiss desser tbh. 😉 Or if we want to go really modern then something like soothe...
@Xld3beats
@Xld3beats Жыл бұрын
@@danielkisel5661 fair enough, it's like a multiband that just uses a single narrow band. It's basically the same thing but I think "dynamic EQ" is easier to understand than "multiband compressor" when people have no idea what you're talking about, since a lot of people have an eq on their car stereo

A lot of politicians were born in the 40's & 50's, plus most people don't ask how things work, what it takes for them to work, etc. So, a lot of people downplayed the role that semiconductors had in their lives until recently when there was a shortage. You often don't appreciate what you have until you don't. 🤷‍♂
