Lol Yeah I love it too. He's my favorite narrator. That's Stacey Keach. He was an actor long ago. He was in a movie with Cheech and Chong. He was the character Mr Lizard. He crawls up the walls etc. Also more recent he's the narrator of the Twilight Zone Radio Dramas. He's like the Rod Sterling of the series. I listen to episodes every night to go sleep to. I'm been drifting off to the episode The Last Rites Of Jeff Myrtlebank for about the last 2 weeks.

I was a medical laboratory technologist. As soon as I heard what Theranos was doing, I called BS. Lab tests don't work that way. It would be like saying you're going to cook stew, french fries, chocolate cake and eclairs all in the same pot. That's simply not going to work, because different temperatures, techniques and ingredients are needed for all the dishes to come out correctly.

Agreed. I am also a trained MLT and I umderstood that the scope of analytes she claimed were possible to be tested meant too many variables without some groundbreaking new tech. Amazingly though one of her retail partners hired but just ignored a MLT consultant to perform due diligance and just ignored his frustrations and warnings about Theranos. As an aspiring startup founder myself I am both impressed by her tactics (her personal origin story for instance about her beloved uncle) and horrifed at same time (her using cancer patients as cannon fodder for example)

That's not necessarily true. In fact, I don't think she benefitted from his money until they were looking to replace her as CEO, and she asked him to invest, or loan, $14 million or so, but that's years into their relationship. People should never assume.

This show is the OG of all these con documentaries taking the world by storm on these streaming services...no one was obsessed with con-artists before AG...I've been hooked on this show for like 10 years, I'm pretty sure it's still current because my KZbin TV sends me new eps weekly that are brand new...nowadays a lot of them are mostly based on 2020 PPP loan schemers and new-age ponzi schemes but it's always cool to see how financial crimes evolve based on the times.

Regarding the last story regarding the spine surgeries, that’s so very sad. I’ve had 2 back surgeries and it does help the acute pain, but there’s always dull pain. I would taken care of myself much better if I had known.
