I don't know if they are common or not but I've seen bus doing it. Its use for turists... When I saw the car I knew what was it for. Imagine driving and then go inside that polluted water... those "holes" to drain the water meant it gets in probably knee high. At least I got that impression. Anyway... good for him. It's nice when one loves something and takes joy out of it. I loved that he trembled when the police arrived. Ahaha. One still needs to follow rules to cross the waters, doesn't it? Well, it must be fun to drive off the road and take the water shortcut :) Fun once, twice... then... i believe it stops to be fun. Wet, wind, cold... He would go for a close car with all the comfort. Or start to imagine a car than can hybrid into a Chopper :) That would be the ultimate FUN! Yet air trafic and rules to "take off" must be a nightmare impossible to solve.
