Well done, you've made a good job of this. I have an F4 myself and had toyed with the idea of CNCing it. However, I now have a Fehlman Picomax CNC that's almost in an operational state. Cool soundtrack too BTW.

Hi Raymond, thanks so much for the support, and I'm glad you enjoyed the videos! I shall document more of my project, some of which are also rc related still, such as some tiltiwing VTOL aircraft. Thanks once again.

Very cool, great job! I have a F3 sitting in my Garage waiting to be fully torn apart to get it into the workshop in the basement. I plan on doing the same and even though its a different machine its nice to have a role model. 🙂

Nice one - well done. I'm currently converting a 1960's Elliott Omnimill to CNC. OIr to be more truthful, I've taken on a previously converted Elliott and making some big mods an d changes. I hope I get as far as youy have. Happy chips!

Great work on the upgrade, looks great! Would love to see the setup for the "box of doom" 😅 Any plans/ideas for further upgrades in the future?

Thanks for the comment! Hoping to make some better coolant guards and encode the spindle so it can do rigid tapping and other useful features. I'll endeavour to show the horrendous wiring job in an upcoming video 😳😳 It's mainly power supplies, a pc, an FPGA board and some stepper drivers. And a lot of questionable cable management...

It's really satisfying to watch your great work. I'm Trying to restore one machine like that, but I'm having some trouble to find the original Wiring Diagram. If you have the original wiring diagrams, can you make them available? ACIERA F4

Sorry to be harsh but If you can't use this as a manual machine what makes you think you have a hope NC?

I have much more experience with CNC machines and mills, so far this mills usage has been very successful and the conversion has been worthwhile
