Update: Just a follow-up note ... I had to make/mount a steel trip dog on the Y+ end of the travel. Due to the shape/angle of the aluminum superstructure of the y-axis gantry, the sensor was tripping a bit too close for comfort. I added a bit of steel angle to the moving side of the y-axis and it's back to 5-8mm.

yes, sensor sense better steel and if use aluminium sensor less sense , thats mean, steel sensor sense dimension 8mm and aluminium about 4mm far.

can i connect same to linux cnc my sensor have only 3 wire pnp NO sensor. + come to power and - come to controller board GND and load to pin 11 board. need i external power, my sensor use 10-30V and i think i use 12 volt power supply because Bob board need 12V to sensor power. controller/B board same. i not understand sensor, have 3 wire one go to power one GND and one load. why load go to GND sensor picture.

@mattivirta ... thank you for your comment and question. My sensors, as you probably know, are NPN sensors. PNP sensors have to be connected differently. I would point you to the User's Manual of the CNC4PC BoB's for reference. Even if you aren't using that specific BoB, their manuals provide some very nice information on connecting various sensors. I would point you specifically to Page 12 of the c10r10_user_manual.pdf. Please message back if you don't/can't find what you need there. Best, Daniel
