Super comprehensive explanation of this new accessory, and MUCH better presented than even 1F’s own video…haven’t received mine yet but this will be my setup reference video when it lands. Bravo 👏 and thank you!!

Thanks so much. I was looking for a lot of this information and just couldn't find much out there. I hope others find this useful as well 😄

Great information. I I ordered one the day they were released and still waiting. It’s been like 9 weeks. Love your channel. Keep it up

Should I disable the tool setter when using: a Drag knife, plotter pen, vinyl cutter or Diamond Drags?

Extremely helpful. Thank you. May I ask, did you design your spoil board with MFT style 20mm dog holes for better clamping options? Again thank you in advance
@EigenDesigns2 ай бұрын
Yeah, I wanted to have the option to use dogs and dog clamps to provide lateral bracing to my pieces. I use these when doing surfacing operations when I need to keep the top of the work piece free from clamps.

@@EigenDesigns I’m on the fence of which Machine to buy, the Onefinity Elite Foreman or new machine that Seinci just released called Altmill. When i do build my spoilboard, i thought an MFT style grid would be helpful to square up the X,Y position using bench dogs or low profile planes while using Festool Element clamps for lateral clamping like what your doing. I’m just so on the fence in to which machine to buy. Lol. Thanks for the replay and great to share ideas with. 😀😀

I am somewhat confused but not really. 21,600 subscribers and only 14 thumbs up. Not a single comment from any of the thumbs up. It impressed me. I have one of those machines still in its box far pass its warranty. His shop is what was once in my dreams. I think, I might think about unboxing mine. Thanks The thumbs up think has me a bit confused? I once believed I read, that in ancient Rome if you got the thumbs up you were dead.

Hi, are you using vectric and what post processor are you using to do tool change....its not popping up on mines...thanks\
@EigenDesignsАй бұрын
@@ApluswoodcraftsInc I use the MASSO post processor and I use Fusion360 for all of my design work. For my post processor, when you have different bits for different tool paths under a single g-code file, the processor automatically puts in a prompt for tool changes when required.

What would cause my z height to be off .2 of inch. I've set mine up the same way as you described. I use probe to set xyz at first then after it changes bit it cuts about .2 inches deeper than first cut? I don't change bit until I'm prompted to do so.

Nice. Thanks. What dust boot are u using ?

Thanks! I am using the PWN CNC v9 dustboot. I am really enjoying it.
@Martin-uj6zn3 ай бұрын
is your dust boot custom-made by you? Do you have a video on it? Looks really sweet.
@BoeingBrian22 күн бұрын
Looks like it could be a pwncnc v9.

How do you get the machine to come to the front for bit changes when prompted? Or did you just jog it to that position?
@EigenDesigns7 ай бұрын
There’s an option to establish a “parking” position, which is where the CNC will go to when a bit change is needed. On the elite machines you can set this up in the F4 menu
@dwmade-woodshop7 ай бұрын
I don't believe "parking" is the same as for the bit change. Parking would be after the program is complete. Check out Mitchell's woodworking you tube video (re the tool setter) and you will have to wait until the very end of the video for the portion about how to select the location for tool changes (preferably right above the tool setter). Check it out.
@jasonbowlin91686 ай бұрын
I don’t recommend having your tool change position directly over tool setter as sharp pointed bits can sometimes fall out and an MDF spoil board is far more forgiving that a metal plate
@JanBinnendijk2 ай бұрын
how can you "calibrate a toolsetter without knowing the tool length?.. You can't .. so , sorry to say this.. but this video is worthless..

Do you have the cut file for the EaZy tool setter inlay? Can’t seem to program that cut
