I remember all the silly animal-shaped USB flash drives that were around back then. My family and even my school had a couple of them that got passed around. I used to laugh about the fact that the USB mini-B port looked like a butthole. I was 14 back then. Actually I still laugh about that. I know, I never grew up.

Think about this time as the time where we were going to go left and get all of these tiny little devices that were excellent at doing one or two things or we could go the other way and get something that does a little of everything but not the best version of anything. I missed the days where your music player was your music player, your phone was your phone, everything had a separate function so that you're not putting all your eggs in one basket like you are now. It's so boring now it's just another smartphone that looks like all the rest whenever Apple comes up with something new or Samsung I don't even get excited anymore. I remember getting my portable XM in 2005 that also could record content and store it as mp3 I thought that was so cool recording my favorite songs and radio shows off of XM and listening to them whenever I wanted.
