What is “risking high amperage”? Is the railroad so cheap that they won’t let a locomotive literally do the only thing it’s made for? Still a great video. Neat to see a burly little engine slinging tanks around.

What I actually meant was that they stalled out. I was corrected but never got to work on the video about. The SD50 stalled so they and 113 assist

@@BrodieProductions412 Ah! Okay. That makes more sense. To me at least. So the engine stalled and probably exceeded its timed load rating. Definitely can burn out traction motors doing that.

that would be the steam locomotive losing traction and the drivers slipping. I was fortunate to be on the crew that day. it was an awesome sight but a lot of hard work to keep the pressure. it was nice to be able to do what she was designed to do for once... -shaine
