You know what I noticed during her speech at the Hispanic Leadership Conference. She said this woman came up to me in Nevada and showed me her Grandmas recipets of how she was paying thousands in insulin a month. Which I don’t believe that but she’s said this story a few times and I feel like the other stories was an older woman coming up to her showing her her receipts of her insulin costs. Now it’s her granddaughter? I went back to her CNN interview part 1 about 5 minutes in she says a grandma shows her receipts now I gotta find at the Hispanic Conference where she changes the story now it’s a granddaughter. It’s about 13 minutes in where she gives a different account of the story. It’s a stupid little detail but she’s a damn liar and that’s what it shows.

@@berrywine6579 he did my husband is a type 1 diabetic. His insulin was 75$ before trump. During Trumps term it went down to 25$. Now it’s a cap for everyone up to 35$. He now pays 4$. Even then there were programs and assistance especially for seniors, I highly doubt a sr citizen was paying thousands for insulin. Maybe for all supplies and everything she needed regarding diabetes, I’ll believe that. However I doubt insulin was in the thousands. Now I do agree it was expensive and hard to get everything you needed to try to survive. I knew guys with no insurance who would have to call the ambulance every time they had their blood sugar go low or high extremes because they couldn’t afford the insulin. There’s so much wrong with it. Now my husband pays 4$ for insulin 4$ for glucose shots, and the rest of the supplies are what’s still expensive. The pump and all accessories, meters and accessories, the CGMS and accessories plus any other medications you’ll have depending on if you’re type 1 or 2 and how severe.

My husband is type 1 and insulin for a 10ML vial was 75$ with private insurance for him. It eventually was dropped to 25$ for him and this year it’s now 4$ bc he works for Walmart Distribution and the “contract” with the insurance is if you get your medication at Walmart it’s a 4$ copay. Now from what I’ve seen in 2020 the average cost of insulin was around 50$ and went up to around $120. I’m not sure what it looked like for everybody but I do know there are programs especially for seniors and coupons and all that you get apply for or get that can make a huge difference. I’m just not seeing someone was spending thousands a month on just insulin, I could be wrong idk. All I know is when Trump was in office my husbands insulin did drop to 25$ and that helped us greatly. Idk what it was like for everyone else. I knew back in the day way before Trump, a few guys who had to call the ambulance whenever their blood sugar dropped or spiked drastically because they couldn’t afford insulin or any of the other things needed. We still spend a ton of money on all the other things but insulin and glucagon shots for him are now 4$. His pump was expensive and depending on what’s needed and how much we order the supplies can get pretty expensive. Along with meters the test strips are pretty expensive. We haven’t tried for a CGM in about 2 years because we couldn’t afford to keep up with it on top of everything else. I’m just kind of going from my personal experience, and from what I’ve seen. I don’t know what others have experienced but thousands doesn’t seem accurate to me.

9/11 actually united us as a country. You can feel the difference when you went to mall or the grocery store. Even at the gas station. I’m Hispanic, and I remember in public places when I walked passed a black or white, we looked each other in the eye and gave each other the nod. The nod that says, we are Americans and we’re gonna get those mf that attacked us, and if they ever try something like that in our presence we were gonna go down fighting together. Since “Conald Chump” came ran in 2016, we have been more and more divided. Sadly, that sentiment has faded. It’s almost gone. But, it’s not too late for us to come back together. We just need to focus more on what Jesus taught us and less on what our flesh tells what to think.
