Because he’s nothing without CNN. The industry as a whole probably hates his guts. And CNN has kept him on because he’s a rat and knows the shady under-workings of the channel. Guarantee you he writes a tell all book if they sack him. He’ll take the channel down with him.

I can't even fathom it. A) if they never get another job, they still have enough money for an easy life, B) if they get fired from CNN, they'll trivially get another job without even trying, C) they won't even get fired from CNN because the mainstream media has never been interested in improving its ratings. It never attempts to match what 70% of the country thinks.
