People want a parent elected, not a politician or administrator, and it’s because all the violence against kids in our schools going ignored. I wish this reporter would question our current state superintendent this way. Catherine Truitt has been hiding teaching licensure being kept intact regarding sex offender teachers, which has allowed them to transfer between schools in North Carolina and reoffend at times. When an email was sent to her office about this, she called active charges, “lies”, and a “smear campaign” against her office and the district the the email came from. Mind you, the email was sent by a board member in that district who’d had to deal with what the teacher referenced in the email had done firsthand. What he had done was getting students to change in his classroom instead of in the gym locker room, and recording them with secret cameras he had placed. These were middle school students.. Our state superintendent chose to slander that board member and other board members who are supposed to be working with her to protect our students joined in the attacks, and even defended pedophiles. One has pictures with a registered sex offender with a 13-year-old victim on his rap sheet on Twitter where they are super cozy with one another and have been observed to call each other “Bestie.” Our current state superintendent also chose to ignore the fact that parents were emailing her office over and over regarding in school, stabbings the shootings of students, guns and drugs in the schools that weren’t being effectively dealt with, and right after a shooting that occurred in the school zone as a result of an assault and threats that were ignored by administrators in the district, came not to speak with parents, whose children were being hurt, but to take pictures with the superintendent and post on Facebook how great a job she thought he was doing. This happened in the midst of multiple parents and students coming forward, talking about how their children were being both physically and sexually assaulted in our district and that administrators were laughing about it. I implore anyone who does not live in this state, or is not living in a county that somehow, luckily is not having these issues to watch board meetings from the counties that are to get a full scope of what is really going on here. The Onslow County Board of Education meetings that are on KZbin From September 2023 through now show a lot. At the beginning of them right after the awards are presented, you will see parents speaking about how their children are being bullied, assaulted, nearly murdered, another student was murdered in a hallway, and children as young as middle school age drugged and sexually assaulted in schools. Parent after parent after parent this is spoken about… You will also see at the end, during board member comments, board members verbally attack parents of victims in the September through November meetings before they got back down by child advocates. Child advocates who then became victims of stalking and harassment by friends of board members engaging in the attacks, including a DSS worker running around, trying to ruin peoples careers with false claims, unless they posted pictures of when they were assaulted on social media, to prove that they had indeed been the victim of assault, and agreed that they had been intimidated out of providing information to police about board members. When that’s just one county in North Carolina, talking about one person‘s Twitter feed doesn’t get close to scraping the bottom of the barrel regarding poor actions of politicians here. Why have both issues been sent to CNN yet they only covered this one? It’s not like these teachers and more haven’t been charged and/or convicted and footage and screenshots of who all has supported them and been involved in hiding it isn’t readily available and already online: 🚩Gregory James Morris (Engaged in public exposure/masturbation in Atlantic Beach while high, who’s a Superintendent’s son, who also had complaints in New Brunswick County before coming to Onslow and making the paper for his public exposure locally, but was hired anyway) 🚩Stephen Bera (The one who recorded students undressing secretly. Licensure left active and board member called a liar for revealing it by state superintendent Catherine Truitt. Onslow County BOE member Melissa Oakley, who commonly brings shotguns and ammo into conversations with parents and during policy committee meetings at random, defended Bera’s license not being revoked due to pending trial, while ignoring that he’d offered to surrender it, and the state did not act, during Oakley’s attempt to protect Catherine Truitt and Bera’s license). 🚩Ashley Beasley (Multiple sexual acts with students age 14. 2 counts of indecent liberties with a child and two counts felony indecent liberties with a student by a teacher. Licensure would still be active if not for board member Angie Todd intervening to petition at the state level, because it’s the state’s responsibility to revoke and the state Superintendent impedes revoking licenses by falsely claiming charges are just lies, as is demonstrated in emails about Stephen Bera) 🚩John Tobias Sweeney (Sealed sexual offense against a 13 year old and solicitation of 13 y.o. Online.) 🚩Brendan Francis Kennedy (Six counts of indecent acts with a minor and 4 of sexual acts with a minor. ALL STUDENTS. He was in our schools for years and promoted to Athletic Director). 🚩 Zachary Todd Daugherty (6 counts of committing a sex act with a student and 3 counts of taking indecent liberties with a student) 🚩Christopher Howard (Multiple sex offenses and indecent liberties with students. Nominated “Teacher of the Year” amidst complaints of impropriety from parents, which is actually common in this district. The Superintendent’s office treats all complaints as false, parents are bullied, and to rub how powerless they are to do anything about it, often staff engaging in inappropriate conduct are promoted or given awards) 🚩William Edward Edwardson Jr (15 videos of students in sexual acts discovered). -This list doesn’t even begin to exhaust the list of convicted or charged OCS staff in recent years. I’ve supplied names so it can easily be researched so people know what the larger scale issues are here in NC. Why, when these issues have been spoken on, sent to CNN, and CNN has been tagged, are they covering ONLY TWITTER COMMENTS? The issues here are much deeper and MSM repeatedly turns a blind eye. By all means talk about what Morrow said. I’m not trying to impede that conversation. I’m asking why we’re not having the WHOLE CONVERSATION about what’s going on in public schools here. #JusticeAndChange on Facebook has a lot of content showing the horrors happening in Onslow. We’re not the only county those currently in charge have failed to protect children in. While people don’t necessarily share her thoughts on Obama, many share them in regard to holding pedophiles and their supporters accountable. That’s how we got here. This whole country is stuck in “lesser of two evils” politics. Please tell the whole story and help us break away from that! Nothing will change if the camp that got ousted in the primary gets their claws in Mo Greene via getting him to believe they sided against Morrow for “what was best”. There’s a split in the R party, for sure. Multiple splits. There’s people protecting good ol boys, pedophilia, and racism. That camp got ousted in this primary, thankfully. I live in North Carolina and I think it’s an embarrassment just how much people turn a blind eye to issues much more severe than mean Twitter. I’m not defending Morrow but, stating what should be obvious at this point. It’s not hard to see how we got here. People want a parent elected, not a politician or administrator, and it’s because all the violence against kids in our schools going ignored. I wish this reporter would question our current state superintendent this way. Catherine Truitt has been hiding teaching licensure being kept intact regarding sex offender teachers, which has allowed them to transfer between schools in North Carolina and reoffend at times. When an email was sent to her office about this, she called active charges, “lies”, and a “smear campaign” against her office and the district the the email came from. Mind you, the email was sent by a board member in that district who’d had to deal with what the teacher referenced in the email had done firsthand. What he had done was getting students to change in his classroom instead of in the gym locker room, and recording them with secret cameras he had placed. These were middle school students.. Our state superintendent chose to slander that board member and other board members who are supposed to be working with her to protect our students joined in the attacks, and even defended pedophiles. One has pictures with a registered sex offender with a 13-year-old victim on his rap sheet on Twitter where they are super cozy with one another and have been observed to call each other “Bestie.” Our current state superintendent also chose to ignore the fact that parents were emailing her office over and over regarding in school, stabbings the shootings of students, guns and drugs in the schools that weren’t being effectively dealt with, and right after a shooting that occurred in the school zone as a result of an assault and threats that were ignored by administrators in the district, came not to speak with parents, whose children were being hurt, but to take pictures with the superintendent and post on Facebook how great a job she thought he was doing. This happened in the midst of multiple parents and students coming forward, talking about how their children were being both physically and sexually assaulted in our district and that administrators were laughing about it. I implore anyone who does not live in this state, or is not living in a county that somehow, luckily is not having these issues to watch board meetings from the counties that are to get a full scope of what is really going on here. The Onslow County Board of Education meetings that are on KZbin From September 2023 through now show a lot. At the beginning of them right after the awards are presented, you will see parents speaking about how their children are being bullied, assaulted, nearly murdered, another student was murdered in a hallway, and children as young as middle school age drugged and sexually assaulted in schools. Parent after parent after parent this is spoken about… You will also see at the end, during board member comments, board members verbally attack parents of victims in the September through November meetings before they got back down by child advocates. Child advocates who then became victims of stalking and harassment by friends of board members engaging in the attacks, including a DSS worker running around, trying to ruin peoples careers with false claims, unless they posted pictures of when they were assaulted on social media, to prove that they had indeed been the victim of assault, and agreed that they had been intimidated out of providing information to police about board members. When that’s just one county in North Carolina, talking about one person‘s Twitter feed doesn’t get close to scraping the bottom of the barrel regarding poor actions of politicians here. Why have both issues been sent to CNN yet they only covered this one? It’s not like these teachers and more haven’t been charged and/or convicted and footage and screenshots of who all has supported them and been involved in hiding it isn’t readily available and already online: 🚩Gregory James Morris (Engaged in public exposure/masturbation in Atlantic Beach while high, who’s a Superintendent’s son, who also had complaints in New Brunswick County before coming to Onslow and making the paper for his public exposure locally, but was hired anyway) 🚩Stephen Bera (The one who recorded students undressing secretly. Licensure left active and board member called a liar for revealing it by state superintendent Catherine Truitt. Onslow County BOE member Melissa Oakley, who commonly brings shotguns and ammo into conversations with parents and during policy committee meetings at random, defended Bera’s license not being revoked due to pending trial, while ignoring that he’d offered to surrender it, and the state did not act, during Oakley’s attempt to protect Catherine Truitt and Bera’s license). 🚩Ashley Beasley (Multiple sexual acts with students age 14. 2 counts of indecent liberties with a child and two counts felony indecent liberties with a student by a teacher. Licensure would still be active if not for board member Angie Todd intervening to petition at the state level, because it’s the state’s responsibility to revoke and the state Superintendent impedes revoking licenses by falsely claiming charges are just lies, as is demonstrated in emails about Stephen Bera) 🚩John Tobias Sweeney (Sealed sexual offense against a 13 year old and solicitation of 13 y.o. Online.) 🚩Brendan Francis Kennedy (Six counts of indecent acts with a minor and 4 of sexual acts with a minor. ALL STUDENTS. He was in our schools for years and promoted to Athletic Director). 🚩 Zachary Todd Daugherty (6 counts of committing a sex act with a student and 3 counts of taking indecent liberties with a student) 🚩Christopher Howard (Multiple sex offenses and indecent liberties with students. Nominated “Teacher of the Year” amidst complaints of impropriety from parents, which is actually common in this district. The Superintendent’s office treats all complaints as false, parents are bullied, and to rub how powerless they are to do anything about it, often staff engaging in inappropriate conduct are promoted or given awards) 🚩William Edward Edwardson Jr (15 videos of students in sexual acts discovered). -This list doesn’t even begin to exhaust the list of convicted or charged OCS staff in recent years. I’ve supplied names so it can easily be researched so people know what the larger scale issues are here in NC. Why, when these issues have been spoken on, sent to CNN, and CNN has been tagged, are they covering ONLY TWITTER COMMENTS? The issues here are much deeper and MSM repeatedly turns a blind eye. By all means talk about what Morrow said. I’m not trying to impede that conversation. I’m asking why we’re not having the WHOLE CONVERSATION about what’s going on in public schools here. #JusticeAndChange on Facebook has a lot of content showing the horrors happening in Onslow.
