SanjayD: My father used to say:" Marta kya naheen karta!! That saying fits Gupta's family beautifully. We have no idea what Damyanti 's family had to go through during the time of Partition of India, but they did the very best that they could as if their lives depended on it and did so well!

S R - I went to get married and same thing. The monks had records of my entire family and then my wife’s family to prove their lineage- there was no mixing with other castes and peoples. Pure Brahmin

Because they're still considered themselves DESI'S, although his mother and father lived over 6 decades in the US. Credit goes to his mother who still loves her birth place Sindh - than India - Now Pakistan. Dr Gupta born and bread in America.

My grandfather was forced to leave Lahore to go to Delhi during the partition in 1947. He left everything behind and two of siblings remained in what is now Pakistan. This would be a cool thing for my family to do as well!

Me too man...., From india a sindhi..😊❤️, and we also moved a lot places in india, My grand father was born in Sindh, my father in rajasthan, my mom in odisha (as after partition every sindhi were spread in every part of world like salt in a dish, the problem was sindhi are hindus and the state sindh was a majority of hindus, but muslims claimed it in the name of Pakistan, and we were left stateless or we had to change the religion) i was born in Andhra Pradesh, My brother was born in odhisa again and now we are living in Vadodara, Gujrat. My grandfather is 80 years old and he used to tell me stories from when i was a child. ❤️😊, Hope i could show him sindh and the great indus river, but i have to work hard for that and have to do it early)

I don't know much about this doctor just his interview got recommended to me then I started searching cause we share same surname 😂 looks like he is doing good job in West 👍

Now, It is going to be easier for him to trace his ancestry back that far, because he comes from a Brahman family. Not everybody can do that… Still, I’m very glad he did this. His mother needed to do this, and that’s very easy to tell.
