Ahead of time, the guest is given a list of questions and agrees to answer questions asked and not to veer off-topic. What Leavitt did is no more acceptable than if YOU had been asked to toast the bride and groom at a wedding and seized the opportunity to talk about how your dog was poisoned by your nasty neighbor and died in great pain.

Trump had his day in court, and he refused to testify on his own behalf because he is incapable of sticking to the truth. The lies he continues to reiterate have been found without merit ( false ) in multiple cases. He thinks truth should bend the knee to him. He and his surrogates could use the allotted time to present the policies he wants to enact, but instead he uses them to promote his policy of retribution if he is reinstated. CNN's ratings used to be a whole lot better because they were on at all the airports. That was perfect for them because people were watching in passing. They'd see the headlines, hear a blurb but that was it. They were able to spread their lies more efficiently. Most people who actually watched CNN, as I used to do, a while ago, realized something was very wrong & stopped watching. Now I notice they're on at a lot of doctor's offices. They're produced pieces on health but even those I don't trust. Ironically, they were doing really well when Trump was in office.

The moderator merely acts as a facilitator/sort of an umpire or referee type person. What that has to do with conspiracy I'd like to know or are we going down some sort of rabbit hole before Jake Tapper even has a chance to moderate President Biden and Trump debating (you want to talk conspiracy theory, sounds like Ms. Leavitt is claiming a conspiracy is already in the works, isn't that what she's implying by disparaging Tapper before the debate, that Tapper will "throw" the debate against Trump)? If Trump's people are complaining this is rigged before it even happens, why agree to debate?
