Today, the debt ceiling joke is still being told in DC. Too much is NEVER enough and our politicians are running toward the cliff.

Social security is financially sound for the next 30 years at least. You have a point about Medicaire and Medicaid, but ...try explaining that to all the pissy senior voters who've grown...attached to it. But don't baby our atrocious, near 700 billion a year defense budget, dude--it's just as big a piece of the pie as SS....and at least SS has its own separate tax to pay for itself. You fix the deficit my raising taxes. Put them back the way they were during .hell, _Reagan_. We lived.
