Cobb lectures Sotomeyer that the Supreme Court can't make result oriented rulings? What? How is this specific to any result regarding Trump or any particular result related to him or anyone else? He wants specifics? The seal team six example was already argued in the lower level courts ad nauseum and the supreme court Maga justices ignored it. Ty Cobb has no argument to rebut why there is any judicial review possible of a president as commander in chief using the military to assasinate domestic political rivals he believes threaten US security.

The separation of powers is exactly what she was addressing. This decision does not really do anything to the idea that there are different situations where a president can claim immunity (i.e. official acts vs unofficial acts) but what it does is create a situation where the "official acts" are greatly expanded, by injecting ambiguity and not allowing evidence or motivation when determining what was an official act vs an unofficial act.

Chatgpt: In summary, while the need for a president to act boldly and without fear is a valid concern, it must be balanced with the principles of accountability and the rule of law. Immunity for official acts can protect the president from frivolous lawsuits and undue legal pressures, but extending this immunity to cover criminal acts, even after leaving office, would be controversial and could erode the fundamental principles of justice and democracy.

All politicians are skilled with masking personal actions within their official duties. This gives immunity for any actions as long as it has the thin veil of being "designated" as "official". And on top of that, the conversations around the "event" would not be allowed as evidence of the "event" when it is deemed "official".

In conclusion for the day I apologize but I feel it is necessary I have posted this publicly on Facebook to be disseminated at each individuals own discretion. July1, 2024 Dear World Leaders and Government Officials, I'm writing this letter to address a matter of grave global concern from a humanitarian perspective. The ongoing actions of governments and militaries worldwide have reached a point that can only be described as an alarming crisis of conscience and ethics. It is deeply troubling to witness the continued engagement in activities that contribute to global destruction, seemingly without regard for the devastating consequences on humanity and our planet. From an objective standpoint, these actions represent a horrific abomination that defies basic human decency and moral reasoning. Consider for a moment how we would react if we saw children behaving in ways analogous to current global military and governmental conduct. Would we not be appalled? Would we not intervene immediately, perhaps even seeking professional help or legal intervention to correct such disturbing behavior? The fact that these actions are instead being perpetrated by adults in positions of power is even more unconscionable. It is a damning indictment of our collective moral compass that those entrusted with leadership roles can engage in such destructive behaviors without apparent spiritual or ethical qualms. The disconnect between the responsibility to protect and nurture citizens and the actual conduct we're witnessing is staggering. I implore you, as stewards of your nations and representatives of your people, to cease these detrimental activities immediately. It is time to reconnect with our shared humanity, to act with wisdom and compassion, and to prioritize the well-being of all global citizens and our planet. The world is watching and waiting for a return to reason, empathy, and responsible governance. The time for positive change is now. Let us work together to create a future we can be proud to pass on to the next generations. Sincerely, Steven Dobrovolskis Ruidoso Downs New Mexico USA

In case anyone thinks that Ty Cobb is not a completely slimy weasel. Sotomayor's opinion was brilliant it laid out in plain English why the Republican-majority opinion was anti-Democratic, pro-Monarchy, had no legal basis or precedent, and a slap in the face to the Democratic principles of the Founders, who fought and died to escape the very same tyranny that Roberts and Alito just codified as being within a President's rights. So, Cobb is "disappointed" in Sotomayor speaking out for Democracy, is he? What a disappointment of a human being Ty Cobb is.

Ty Cobb is saying most of the right things but missing the conclusion. He said he was a little confused when the court said (1) conversations with the Attorney General and threats to fire Bill Barr in favor of Jeffrey Clarke are absolutely immune; and (2) official acts cannot be used as evidence even if integral to the story. THATS the problem (among other things(. It's not simply that the Court said there is presumptive immunity for official acts. It's that they defined official acts wildly broad (just talking to the AG, even about crimes to commit?!?!) and also destroyed a prosecutor's ability to make a case by having to exclude anything touching on this broadly defined official act of plotting crimes with the AG. Cobb really is missing the point here.

Joe's SS officers carry on a deck chair and a drink with an umbrella, which they place next to the podium and leave. Joe sits in the deck chair and takes a drink. Donald - You can't do that, you have to stand and debate. Joe- Listen, Donald I am the President of the United States of America, I am not going to be seen standing for your lies and unhinged behaviour. Donald - If he has a chair I want a chair. Moderator - The President brought his own chair, we don't have a chair. Donald starts fuming, waving his hands around and getting stroppy. Joe- It might be appropriate at this juncture to introduce Navy Seal Sniper Sgt (name withheld for opsec) up there at the back of the studio. Seeing as you are a convicted felon, rapist and nutcase you are considered a security threat. We couldn't use SS against SS so we went to the Seals. You seem agitated, I wouldn't wave your hands around or make any sudden moves. Still you don't have to worry about the Sgt, what was it you said about fallen soldiers being losers. You know I got the idea from your Quest for Presidential immunity so you could bump off your rivals. Remember no threatening deeds or words. Your looking a little scared Donald.
