Hi Rachel! As someone who voted democrat this most current election id love to share my thoughts with you on your two statements as I encourage everyone to have civil conversations. The idea of pronouns seem to be more of a talking point of conservatives more so than democrats. I have someone on my team who prefers they/them as they are a trans person. Perfectly good with me, just like how people ask if I prefer to go by “will / bill / william”. Doesn’t need to be anymore complicated than that literally just a title, at the end of the day we are all human trying to get by life. One day we will all be dead and no one will care if someone misnamed will or bill instead of william just like how no one will care if someone got misgendered/misprouned- with that same breath wouldn’t it make the world just a little bit brighter if we did respect what people want to go by with their preferred pronouns even if you may fundamentally disagree with their life choices? 2. Affordable housing should be something EVERY American should have access to. I make 53,000 a year and a small two bedroom apartment costs me 1,900 a month plus power plus my car insurance, phone bill, groceries and anything else. I dont make a lot of money but i do make more than a lot of American’s and im very grateful for being able to afford my home but a lot of people simply can’t. Why aren’t we as a country fighting harder for more houses, apartments, and shelters for the betterment of ALL of us.

Your argument is a bit reductive. Many pols suggest that voters split their ticket (voting Trump for Pres. while voting for progressive candidates and ballot referendums). Many interviews with voters who had split their ticket (see the responses to AOC's question to her constituents who had voted for her and Trump) show that they had little understanding of which candidate supported what policies with their incoherent answers. So with that understanding, it seems you come to the wrong conclusion by assuming that voters actually knew what and who they were voting for. A Data for Progress survey of voters showed that “support for Harris decreases as news consumption decreases.” In short, the less they (voters) knew, the more likely they would vote for Trump. Like Jon Stewart said when this happens everyone has a hot take and they're always wrong.

This time you're off, Fareed. VP Harris had the correct message and was the superior candidate, as shown by the debate. She lost because too many American voters were predisposed not to vote for a female US President, especially one of color, as an early poll showed. Only 68% of voters were willing to do it. So, she had to win 51% of the 68% available to her while Trump needed only 18% more, a huge disadvantage practically impossible for Harris to overcome. Also, as renowned psychiatrist Allen Frances explained, American voters are "crazy" (probably meant stupid or gullible) for electing Trump. No issues, no wrong message, just plain voter bias and stupidity.

No. This time Fareed is 100% correct. People didn’t vote for her because she was a horrific candidate who couldn’t answer a question regarding how she would improve the economy or border. Hillary Clinton won the popular vote in 2016 and she’s a woman. Obama won the presidency…twice and he’s black. No one cares about identity politics anymore. The people are more intelligent and capable of making their own decisions based on their own personal experiences. The government is there to protect this freedom, not control the people.
