That's so true but at the same time I feel like tech back then actually tried it's best to push the boundaries of what was possible. Now we've gotten to a stage where what we consider mediocrity is more than we need. I kinda miss that Era tbh every year things actually felt like they were improving, but look no further than the iPhone 13 and 14 to know that progression has kind of ground to a halt.

@@duszeksmsaczek6394 How on earth is that horrible? I see no joy of bringing along a midclass camera, voice recorder, calculator, watch, media player, mp3, text editor and a bunch of other devices - instead of a smartphone. Even better most of these devices when going top tier still have individual hardware pieces so every field gets developed while the most cost/quality effective variant gets put into the phone. How on earth is it bad?

seeing that stuff back then really impresses and gets me excited even today. with all the limitations you faced even watching a movie on a gba was mind blowing imo. today's markets cool but nothing screams cool or impressive like some of those old techs imo even the smart phone for how amazing an revolutionary just falls short of portable radios and stuff to me idk why lol.
@dawidaleksanderwitkowski74553 жыл бұрын
It’s interesting to me how the perception of things changed in that short period of time, because advances in technology is one thing, but look at the colors in 2000s computers and monitors were mostly beige and gray colors and for example Google buttons where gray boxes and smaller digital gadgets mostly silver, it was not dependent on technology and yet now they look obsolete to us.

What saddens me is that the tech world has shrunk to a select few innovating the next generation of High-Tech consumer products and dictating the kind of technology we sport. Half of these companies either abandoned their tech pursuits or were folded into giants. I don’t see an Oakley pursuing smart glasses today or a casio/sony leading the smart watch innovation
