Realistically, considering the total number of barons Santorin has successfully smited since he started playing League, how many of those have had a baron health bar tick down into smite execute range at the exact baron level up timer? To those backseaters saying he should've waited: he did not "flip it". It's a jungler's natural instinct to smite the millisecond they see it dip under 900 and the pros practice this every single day. Laughable odds really, just an unlucky play and no reason to flame Santorin.

Without the enemy jungler nearby there is no neeed to smite perfect. I dont care about natural instinct or how he trains. The risk of fail smiting is obviously higher if you smite at the earliest moment. In any case the Team should burst the baron at the end so the level up makes no difference (or other ways you may lose it). It was a horrendous missplay. What danny did was nothing great he abused this giant missplay. He is not "cracked" or something the reaction of LS and Dom was the correct one: disgust. 100% not an unlucky play.

i think the baron leveled up since it was 29:00 minutes in, you can see in the time above it was 28:59 when it was 895, so it turns out that 1. TL got so fucking unlucky and tilted in Game 1 because of the time 2. TL shouldve stuck with baron to do more damage in the pit (even a single auto attack wouldve prevented this) 3. Shouldve forfeited baron as soon as they saw jinx

Even other pro junglers admitted they just found out about that after the play. You can’t really blame them, the odds of something like that happening is literally less that 1% so it’s not something most people pay attention to

Just for the record, the reason why Baron healed in that fight was because for every minute in the game, Baron gains 180 hp. " HEALTH GAIN PER MINUTE : 140 ⇒ 180 Note: This counts from the start of the game, not from the time Baron Nashor spawns. So when Baron first appears at 20:00, he has accumulated 20 minutes of bonus health. " When Santorin smited at 0:04, Baron was just under the 900 hp threshold for smite to finish it off, HOWEVER, Santorin smited at exactly 29:00, in which baron gained 180 hp to survive the smite and be finished off by Danny's rocket. Pretty sure most people forget that Baron even has this health stat, let alone in the moment of the game. No, Santorin did not troll, Danny just got extremely lucky that the game was on his side.

U do that so there is ZERO CHANCE that anyone outside of their jungle can burst it down. Smiting at 900 compared to 500 makes zero difference at that point. Plus, a jinx rocket can steal that baron if danny hit everyone in that pit and if Santorin let it go down to 700 (assuming Santorin assumed that Danny had a rocket). Its kind of troll to not use smite automatically when u can ensure a takedown. What type of jungler have you heard that says that smiting as soon as the the takedown is insured is troll because " their jungler is dead ". This scenario, which has a less than 1% chance of happening in real time, is the only situation where you should not smite even though it reaches the takedown threshold. A scenario basically all junglers are not aware of because it almost never happens.

Smiting is trained everyday by pro junglers and Santorin did what he did, smiting it perfectly. It was SUPER UNFORTUNATE that Baron healed since they did baron at THE EXACT 29min. That smite was just pure instinct from Santorin, being a jungler. The other arguments they gave was that pro players not knowing Baron's levelling up in 29mins, proceed to ask why do baron at that time. WHO THE FUCK would take a glance at the TIME when they're having a huge teamfight, let alone three teamfights at the most crucial moment. I used to watch a lot of Dom's streams and content cause I enjoyed a more critical take on the games, with less sugar-coating. At some point to me it felt like it kinda devolved into this type of content. Mostly just "AHHH NAHHHH MAHNN. I CAN'T MAHN I CAN'T. WHAT EVEN IS THIS REGION BRO. AHHHHH MY EYESSSS". Obviously there are many reasons to be critical and disappointed in the region, but imo it started to be SUPER overplayed because that's what his audience likes and responds to. can someone explain to me why the baron was at 895 hp with 4 ppl hitting it. the baron heals to 1088 hp where santorin smites at about the same time the hp increase happens to where baron is left at 155 hp post smite. can someone explain to my baron started healing with 4 tl member inside of the pit where even if santorin did not hit baron for awhile one of the 4 other members were not aggroed or to where baron just regens 3k hp and its not burstable by any side. why did baron go from 985 at which point bwipo autos baron the moment it reaches 985, the next moment its at 895 then 908 then 1088 hp within about a second time to where santorin smites and then danny autos for the steal. why did it heal randomly 200hp in like .15 seconds the moment after a tl person autos the barron thus making it so that its regen timer does not trigger at all. im so confused. i think eg deserved to win the series after their overall play but this baron shouldve been a tl baron into end....

Just think of how unfortunate that is. Smite was good - baron levels right as he does it - with an auto mid air to have it get stolen. GZ to EG but that was some unfortunate shit right there.

For the people that don't want to look deeper and just blame jungler because obj was stolen. Hans ran from core post baron steal when core had Renata W which means Danny wouldn't get reset. Bjerg...items LOL. Bwipo would not leave the pit to try and stall Danny and was focusing baron as shen. And in freeze frame you see 4 people in the pit as santorin smites at 908 Hp a near perfect smite. Let's not say it's been in the game for forever so it's a good mechanic because for a literal DECADE blue side cannon minions did 10 more damage than red without anybody knowing. If there's a single person who has no fault it's Santorini by a mile.

So sad for TL, but they werent playing well and everyone was saying they were the best team LCS has had for years, bwipo always counterpicking himself, bjerg building AD corki was just so ego building that he lost, i dont think corki AD is bad, but if ur comp depends on you and xaya to pocke, u dont build that, TL has too many mistakes, the superteam couldnt even build well. Drafts were trash, and i still dont get why. Hope they comeback next split, hope they can change instead of getting worse

Wtf, baron completely trolling. Healing at that exact moment, is unreal. There should be a definite thing that baron can't level up when it's taking damage. So unfair and stupid.
