I am installing mine now, i am at the chain install and the magnet install. I got my Co-Z at Amazon really inexpensive! I am going to love my new gate, thank you for your review. I will have to check out some sensors now lol. Oh and to the other single ladies out there you can install this! I even built my new driveway gate doing a wooden frame with a cattle panel center, wheels and a handel for manual use. My total cost is about 600.00 for my gate and Co-Z!

As a kid, we had a iron gate that rolled over stainless steel rod. We didn't grease it but applied wax to keep it rolling smoothly.
@HeritageFarmsTexas4 жыл бұрын
That’s interesting with the wax. Never thought of that.

Good, solid review. Enjoyed seeing some details on the gate as well as the opener.

FYI WD-40 will actually rinse off any oil you're putting on it... WD-40 is for inside applications, not exterior. Use motorcycle chain spray. It has a paraffin content that sticks to the chain. I built and installed electric residential and commercial gates for 20 years. Motorcycle chain spray is your friend in this situation. Should have to spray it about every year or year and a half at the most.

Thanks. Appreciate the advice. Good to know.

This does look clean and works well. I do know you don't really want to use WD-40 unless you need to free up rust. It has acids in it to free up the rust, but then it will corrode again because of the asicds. A little gob of grease should do the trick.

Thanks, I’ll try that.

Looking through your comments Liberty has a good idea. They have bee'swax tube sticks for car doors and hinges and I use them on the caddy. Your area looks dust and dirt free... I would try it.

Hi I installed this exact sensor on the exact gate motor , and my sensor operates backwards, if something come in it’s path the gate continues to come in the direction it was going in instead of reopening ! Do I have engage the auto close feature for it to work properly
@HeritageFarmsTexas2 жыл бұрын
I believe so. I’m no expert. I only installed one of these. You may have the wires on sensor backwards also. Good luck.

Any idea how to sync this to a car so I can open it from my vehicle

Sorry I do not. We have a key fob that we use. We hang it off the gear shifter. Really not a big deal.

Totally understand. That’s the level of features you get with $1500 openers vs. this $300 opener. Guess the saying is true, you get what you pay for. So far, this has been a good cheap opener.

Is it true when the door is open for manual mode then closed, the magnets lose there limit setting or when loss of power?
@HeritageFarmsTexas3 жыл бұрын
It is true if you have the gate open fully or closed fully and open the door for manual mode and then close it. It gets confused on which way to go and can jam. The secret is when you put it in manual mode, the gate needs to be partially opened or closed before you close the door. ( have sensor in between the magnets). Then when the button is pushed, no harm is done.

Hello, you should be able to find it at a local fence supply store. Home Depot or Lowe’s will not carry it.
