In 25 years i jave never been able to use a fual gauge regulator to accurately know how much CO2 is left until it is empty. What I started doing 10 years ago is using weight to know ehat my CO2 level is. It is a great way to detect leakage as well. I use a postal scale from amazon. Works 10 times better.

You can push CO2 just fine for a long ways. Certainly up three floors. For best results you'd want to regulators. One at the source set to around 50-60psi. Then have another regulator at in the beer box pre-manifold set to your ideal serving pressure for the beer. Say 12-15psi. This ensures an overpressure of gas at the point of service without starving the system along the delivery lines. Cheers! -Mike

What sizes do the Co2 tanks come in and how long do they last? I'm thinking about using them for Co2 transfering.

Our homebrew store has 5 gallon tanks. I use that for my brews. - John
