Knight straight up killed him when he said he’s got a long way to go to be as good as his dad
@noahwhyde65882 жыл бұрын
He was 100% right. Schapp was just being a douchey journalist trying to bait him. Interrupting him on purpose

With the return of coach Knight to assembly hall, it goes to show that he is and will forever be the gawd damn general..he is forever loved by IU fans
@dart54254 жыл бұрын
@rockit730 All you probably know about him is what was shown in this biased 12 minute video. He took Indiana kids no one knew and developed and coached them to Final Fours. Greatest of all time.

It appeared to me that Jeremy wanted to get in as many zinger questions as he could without waiting for an answer he’s perfect for a 2020 reporter he was just ahead of his time.
@turdferguson7504 Жыл бұрын
His dad got him the job and he wanted to use Knight to build his boba fides. Knight just called him on it.

Schaap was disrespectful in his interview of Coach Knight. Bobby was right. Schaap wouldn’t shut up and listen. A good interviewer listens first.

John Frakes Agreed. I’m surprised the old man stood up for his boy, who did an amateurish job in the interview. The kid would be a greeter at WMT if not for his dad

Bobby had the discipline and that is what kids are many times missing today, and no one is perfect....
@jonaldblip_ Жыл бұрын
The players need to teach their coaches about life and about how to have self-discipline. There's more that the coaches could learn from their players, than they could teach to their players. :D

He did interrupt Knight - more than once. That is one of the most annoying things when interviews take place.

I am not a knight fan, but in this case schaap was rude, unprofessional and did not give booby a chance to respond

Coach has anger issues. Still love him. Schapp was a little weasel and is incredibly annoying, he deserved criticism, he was obviously compulsively nervous in this interview. Really bad job. Wasn't up to the task.
@brycelambley11224 жыл бұрын
When he was at Texas Tech, one of his players was distant relation of my then-wife's and we were fortunate to get seats right behind the Red Raider bench when they played Nebraska here in Lincoln one year. I was shocked and embarrassed at the way some (not all) of our Nebraska fans treated him. He was harassed from the time he walked onto the floor until the game was over. Loud and mean-spirited stuff all night long. I can't imagine coaching under such circumstances and having to put up with that without reacting. I wish him well. P.S. Schaap was very disrespectful in this interview; too many journalists want to be in or dictate the story, instead of being journalists and reporting the story. We're seeing that on steroids with the MSM now.
@quentina75632 жыл бұрын
Lol, "MSM", eh? What are you, a Trump snowflake?

Great story. I feel as the media goaded him so much and he just wouldn’t bow down. I think they made it their mission to take him down and they did.

I side with Coach Knight we are soft in this world Knight came from era where you worked your ass off & weren't given things.
@ZiggyMercury4 жыл бұрын
Well, I have nothing against softness, but the truth is the Kinght's behavior suggests that if anyone is soft here, it's him. He seems to be very thin-skinned. A confident person wouldn't get this angered, this keen on getting praise. A confident person won't shy away from criticism, in part because he'd be sure that he's right and the critic is wrong. An insecure person, on the other hand, would walk away on an interview because he felt the interviewer interrupted his answers too often or something like that.
@patrickgray56334 жыл бұрын
@@ZiggyMercury what was Vince Lombardi, Woody Hayes, Bear Bryant, Coach K????? They yelled & went nuts like Knight does if you think Bob Knight wasn't confident in what he did that's just funny cause he was the best in his profession.

Watching this years later, Jeremy did interrupt him... consistently. Knight kept trying to give the background for answers, but Jeremy would interrupt. Jeremy did not seem to want to listen, but only get on to the next question. Compare this with the interview with Larry King interview, which was of much higher quality. Pro vs. amateur.
