No. You give people too much power and they become corrupt. I've read multiple times from coders that they are leaving or have left physician's offices because they were overcharging for visits.

Wow @molahi5779! Do you think physicians have to increase their charges in an effort to get more reimbursement from the insurance companies?

Practice makes perfect! Specifics are extremely necessary when coding. Physicians that have been gifted not just one but many skills and have 27 and over years of experience I would say do not need of a third Party to control what they can get paid. Because the Physician knows his/her worth. Honesty and Integrity being one of the many heavenly gifted skills.

Apart from the Medical services there are so many other administrative services being performed by providers and they are not getting a single penny for those. So far I can see the effort coming from the AMA but not much is being done from CMS to reduce physician burnout.

So true @melvinbreton2710. I didn't even consider physician burnout meeting all of the requirements to even get reimbursed.
