Coach JB running his mouth again without the facts. Belichick won only 44% of his games as a head coach without Tom Brady. First you said, with your typical loudmouthed bravado, that Belichick would not take the job. Wrong. And now you are making the case, wrong again, that Belichick was great without Brady. And you disingenuously tried to include what he did as an assistant. He was not the head coach in New York. No one but you would try to give an assistant credit on par with a head coach for winning Super Bowls. No one, for example, would give Phil Bengston, who was Lombardi's D-Coord for those Packer championship teams, credit for winning those two Super Bowls. Romeo Crenell was the D-Coord for Belichick's early Super Bowl victories. Coach, after Crenell bombed as a head coach in Cleveland, were you running around telling everyone how great he was because he was an assistant coach for Belichick? What you did not mention, not surprisingly, is that 4 of Belichick's 5 seasons as the HEAD COACH AT CLEVELAND were losing seasons; he was fired. Belichick has just two playoff appearances in the 10 full years without Brady. Do better, Coach. Stop looking on the surface and dive deeper to understand things.

I think this would have been a good hire maybe 10 years ago....one of the biggest reason BB had so much success as an NFL coach was how he drafted, picking late round players and free-agents that he knew would be hungry due to them not having big contracts..."a starving animal would eat anything to survive"...thats why he typically let players go if they were up for a big contract...Its hard to be as hungry getting a a 100k-Mil upon graduating HS...Unless BB have Lombardi draft up incentive based NIL deals I dont see it working I believe his approach would be off putting to most of the top talent and Talent wins in CFB

The Portal is what 3 or 4 years old? NFL QBS been bad for atleast a decade. NFL QBs are bad now because high school and college coaches are prioritizing athleticism at the position to run there spreads. But athleticism dont mean nothing in the nfl when everyone is more athletic than you. So now we got practice squad wr and lbs starting at qb in the NFL b/c all the high school coaches dont actually want to develop an actual QB

Personally that's my only knack against Dieon as a coach it seems like he can only win when he has above talent players. Weirdly enough I can't even say he has developed the players either. While Bill can do more with less talented players. I could totally see him building a roster of 3 stars and causing hell for opposing teams.
