Honestly, Coach is still out of reach for many middle class Americans to buy with their disposable income (wo/credit card). So, I would consider it a luxury brand.

Macy’s shipping is horrible. I ordered a bag once. It did come in a box but the box was twice the size of the bag and had no padding or stuffing of any kind. The bag wasn’t even in a protective plastic bag or anything. Just the dust bag. Luckily the box didn’t get crushed or wet in shipping so the bag was fine.

Ah, Macy's. In 2016, I purchased from their online store a Coach Nolita satchel (cornflower blue with painted flowers). When it arrived, it was in a long, slender box. My heart sank when I saw it because I KNEW it had been destroyed and I was right. That bag was completely folded in half! The bottom of the bag was permanently creased (a HUGE crease) and other areas couldn't be fixed. Foolish me, I tried to stuff it in an attempt to undo the damage, but the damage was done. When I took it to my local store, the saleslady was shocked by the condition of the bag and told me the receipt that came with the bag (no tag or dust bag, mind you) indicted that it had been returned to the store without the original tag or care guide. I was shocked that Macy's would accept the bag at all without a Coach tag. Several days later, I received an order of makeup from Macy's and it arrived with glitter all over the OUTSIDE of the box. Yep, another disaster, this time one where all the makeup had cracked and gone everywhere. There was no plastic or bubble wrap to be seen. Another trip to the store. I haven't ordered from Macy's online ever since, lol. BTW, I ended up buying the Nolita satchel from Coach online when it was on sale and it arrived with all the bells and whistles. Beautiful bag. As for these two bags, I love the colors and the strap! I never thought I'd like a cloth strap, however, these are so vivid and colorful. I'd definitely wear the second one. I prefer the design on the front and it seems more roomy. Gorgeous!

Ughhh! Why, Macy’s?? WHY??? They are a higher end department store so I really don’t understand how they can get away with not caring about presentation to the buyer or the safety of their merchandise. Thanks for sharing your stories!

I am actually unsure about Coach being a luxury brand or contemporary brand because I saw a $5000 bag on their website...I believe it's made of alligator. But most of their other stuff is affordable so I have no idea lol I just love the brand and love them more for the dinosaur because I'm kind of obsessed with dinosaurs lol Both bags are very cute but I like the crossbody better for you...seems like you prefer that one anyway but they're both very cute! And yes Rakuten is the bomb...15% cash back now at a bunch of stores.

They are by Wit & Wisdom and I got them at Nordstrom Rack a couple years ago. They are like thick leggings but with actual pockets and a waistband. Love them!
