10 years is a long time. A lot of coaches get tuned out by players after being with a team for too long. Sometimes change has to be made for changes sake
@elizajane914 сағат бұрын
either malone needs to change his system or somebody else may need to come in. let's not overreact but it's obvious that his love affair with jokic is affecting the team. he needs to empower others to play make and he needs to reduce those jokic touches. jokic NEEDS to do more defensively. i see him get active on a few possessions per game, but it needs to be every possession--he's the CENTER!!!!!
@recrevs9633 сағат бұрын
@@elizajane91 sure but didn't we see that when nikola is not playing? this team is not in playoffs without his playmaking.
@professor_of_logic2 сағат бұрын
@@elizajane91 Jokic is still just a man! He's playing 40 mpg this early into a season, and he's contributing with 50% of all offensive! So how realistic is for him to be a DPOY? I mean we could try - but you can't expect 32p+13r+10a per game... and we all know what that means.
@CJFunkster0310 сағат бұрын
The lack of desire night to night from this team jumps through the TV screen. It wasn't even there in the season opener, at home, against OKC. Mind boggling!

Start Russ. We're 5-1 when he starts. I love CB energy but he's better off the bench
@303aron303111 сағат бұрын
He’s really not though, the reason his number have shot up is because he’s playing next to Jokic
@sammyslam110 сағат бұрын
None of that matters. The only thing that matters are wins and losses. The "team" wins when Russ starts 5-1 and when he doesn't the team is 9-10. I'm not sure we can even say the two non-Jokic losses would be automatic wins given what we've seen but even then that would only be 11-8. It's the same roster of players and the same coaches. With Russ starting the team wins 80+% and when he doesn't the team wins less than 50%(so far)

And how many games have we had our full roster? Home many games have we had AG and Murray healthy?

CB was the only one scoring at the beginning of the game! Don't blame him!

Russ is okay but he is not a winning player and will make silly mistake(s) when it matters. Look at his playoff record. Team opted to not resign their guys or to go for players that fit the required role. So only one left was Russ.
@WrongButtonWB10 сағат бұрын
2points from AG, and another low scoring night from foken MPJ. Malone decisions not to start Russ should, seriously, be questioned, since 5-1 speaks for itself.
@Mixer29042 сағат бұрын
Last play out of the time out you have CB and Watson on the bench while you have MPJ and Murray defending, our two WORST defenders are playing while our TWO best defenders are on the bench while opponent has 4 sec left on last play of the game, horrible coaching

More second chance points after Nuggets fight Jokic for rebounds. How can we get them to box out opponents and not fight team mates. People say effort is low, but I think it looks like they are trying too hard without focus. Russ is great, though.

@sammyslam111 сағат бұрын
No AG has to come over and force the pass to Grant. The coach says he didn't want the double team but he ain't gonna be mad at you when the shot clock expires or Grant misses the game winning 3.... Players have to play on instinct at times and you can see AG's instinct was to guard but he made a weak effort to guard....as soon as he sees the blow by he has to crash hard to Simons to force a pass and a heave from Grant....if it goes in it goes in.
@PullinMyOwn9 сағат бұрын
Forcing that 3 up late in the 4th wasn’t what he needed. Granted his technique looks better, less slow/glitchy. But he needs to get aggressive around the basket

When you're playing 40+ minutes and you're aware that no help is coming anytime soon - you're just to tired. Millions are just nice story, motivation is there - but at some point simple Body Fatigue shows it's ugly head... Trust me - Jokic is giving a 100% every night, but he's also aware that he needs to play almost every second... it's hard.
