Mangonels help against Mass Samurai. Get Biology and go Mass Horseman. No Gold required for horseman. Get Yourself Gunners, Mangonel , Ribauldequin and Crossbows against Mass Samurai. Use the Horseman as Meatshield for defence. Horseman also do a good job at raiding. I like if the game starts with horseman and longbow. English got no problem producing food. The only problem with horseman is the heavy food requirement. The fast movement Speed makes them superior to men at arms. It's easier to gather a large group with mobile units, cause of the walking distance. The berkshire with mangonels was really nice. If there would be some mangonels left, japan would have had a harder time. It's not the rank that is important. It's the skill you earn. With improved skill it's easier to stay in platin. Remember to get enclosures going asap you hit imperial. And get elite horseman with pierce armor and biology upgrades going.

I found you stopped producing units towards then end there, if you had built up your force behind the army pushing through to his base you would have been in a much better position to then counter attack his counter attack

blacksmith, and you could go out of your base more. Mass crossbow at castle with spear or man at arm, make them work for relic and site. English have upper hand during Castle age but you let japan freely reach Imperial, they have more tool to end your game.

Interesting, so against Japan look to try to force them to stay in castle. Will definitely be keeping an eye out for that. Blacksmith for sure, good point about getting out of my base. I don't harass enough for sure. Thanks!!

Blacksmith upgrades !!! And stop queuing 20 units … use resources to get all upgrades in parallel.

For real, I sometimes will have an entire Imp worth of resources sitting in queue for no reason at all. Great advice here and yes, blacksmith upgrades!!!! Thanks for the support!

It’s good practice to build eco buildings away from opponent. Try to build or cityplan around that advice.

20:49 you feel the scales against you but you’re aren’t scouting, how would you know. Also idle army is second to idle vills try to keep them active or doing something

Unless you want to go up an age, don’t float too many resources. You are floating 1000+ wood and have too many units queued up. Build some more production and build some outposts to LOS and map control.

If you watch beasty vids he prioritizes neutral gold before safe gold. Especially if the game goes long

@@adamsimmons6876 That's something I haven't thought about before: Idle army is > idle vils at that stage of the game. Obviously everyone should be doing something but prioritizing my army over vills is something interesting to think about the next time a game goes long. Thanks!

For sure, I am waaaaay to timid while I boom. If I can get the APM to just poke and harass while I'm getting my eco going I feel like it's the next level. Thanks!
