Gotta be honest. I've always been super underweight for my height and couldn't ever play football safely without fear of injury. It always felt dangerous for me potentially even young. Its why I sucked at defense in basketball. Mental stuff I figured out with becoming an aggressive goalkeeper in soccer. I never was a fan, but this year for some reason I'm falling in love with the game. My late father was a cowboys and sooners fan and I still root for them. I'm super happy this game is releasing tomorrow now I'm learning football. I love sports games, and love free to play models. I will probably spend money on this game. I wanna make a team for where I live in Granite City, Illinois. Thank you for this great, fun looking true sports experience. Go Universe and love is good.

When I was growing up, I didn't have other kids to play with. I had three older sisters and they didn't want to play sports with me. I didn't get into any youth sports leagues. It wasn't until I moved to a new neighborhood with kids around my age that I learned I was actually fast. They all taught me how to play the sports we played, baseball, football, and basketball. I LOVED playing this sports even though I didn't really watch them. I lived in Baltimore, so for much of my childhood, we didn't have a team. The Colts left in 1983, and we didn't get the Ravens until 1996. The Orioles had won a World Series in 1983, but were pretty terrible during my childhood, but Cal Ripken Jr. was still my hero. By highschool I was tiny my freshman year. I was about 5'5'' and 130lbs. Still I tried out for football, track, and baseball because I was fast. I made the track team, made the baseball team, but the coaches wouldn't let me play football. They told me to keep working in the gym and try next year. I hit my growth spurt as a sophmore. I was now 5'10'' and 175lbs. I spent all year riding an ancient 10 speed bike 6 miles round trip to double session football practices, worked out before and after practice, had weight training as a class in school. I could squat 500lbs by the time I came back to practice that next year. Nobody really knew that on the team. I hadn't timed myself in the 40 in all that time. As a freshman I ran it in 4.50. The following year, some college track runners came along to run with us. Nobody on the team would line up against them. They looked the part. Over 6ft tall, long and lean. I ran against them, I had to get my time in any way. The whistle blew and I jumped off the line and took off. I left the college sprinter in the dust. I heard a loud "Sh*t," behind me. He caught up to me at the end but I barely edged him out, and the clock read 4.43. We ran it two more times, and the same thing happened. Except my times got better. The last run was a 4:35 and the coach yelled when I crossed the line, "WHOOOOAAAA!!!, SLOW DOWN, BLAZIN'!" That was my new nickname, starting CB/FS, and I would play Flanker and RB at times, too. Run some kicks and punts back from time to time.

I love their approach to sliders. Instead of using sliders as a band aid for users to mitigate issues in the game, they want to make the AI as good as possible. This means less time users have to spend adjusting sliders and more time playing the game.

@eduardopena5893Ай бұрын
Right, I don't need mindless sliders that have unclear affects on the gameplay. If there is a penalty slider, I expect it to cause more or less penalties, not affect how players block or break blocks. All I need are simple gameplay tweaks. Quarter length, accelerated clock on or off, an injury slider, penalty slider. Other than that, let the attributes of the players dictate who is a star and who isn't.

@@eduardopena5893 yep I remember a time when player stats decided the outcome of a game........sliders will send you down a neverending rabbit hole 😂

@@fishscaley These "X-Factor" abilities were also when Madden just went off the rails. I didn't mind the player roles addition, I thought that fit. If a guy met a certain criteria, he would get labeled as a deep threat, or a bulldozer RB. He wouldn't all of a sudden develop superhuman skills like the ability to throw the ball 20 yards further than he normally could. The old school Maddens used to let the attributes matter, and so did one of the games praised for the best gameplay on the field in All Pro Football 2K8. The other great thing about this all being a fictional universe is that the game doesn't have to cater to NFL stars and tweak ratings all the time and what super crazy arcade like power ups they should have. Stars will be defined by their given ability, and how they produce on the field.

SPRING RULES BEING ADDED WOULD BE AMAZING!!!! (SPRING FOOTBALL MODE WOULD ALSO BE AMAZING)
@eduardopena5893Ай бұрын
I would love this to be added as a way like "minicamp drills" used to work in Madden. Set up a practice style, select certain areas of focus by position group, or perhaps you can even select a few key players to develop, and then get the guys in camp for practice for a chance to improve their attributes. Better coaching staff = better results.

EDIT: So I have been informed that there IS a "Spectator Mode" which is the CPU vs. CPU option I mentioned in this post. I must have missed the part where they mentioned it in this video, but to me that is a huge feature to have for how I, and a lot of people like me, enjoy playing football games. Coach Mode would be pretty cool to add in and I hope they do get around to implementing that soon. Original Post: So no CPU vs CPU mode or coach mode. This is a rather large part of the sim community that doesn't usually speak up. We like to play as the GM or HC of the team. We set up the system, we draft or sign players for the system, and then we want to see how these players perform on the field without our input. This would be a huge feature to put in the game, but I fear the dev team is too hyper focused on online dynasty play...and I have a feeling that is a set-up for a monetization system in the future. Meaning this Coach Mode would be a back burner issue as they work on that and any new bugs that show up. I noticed you asked about the positive feedback from the testers, but I would have also would have liked to hear about some of the criticisms, and how the dev team is responding to them to fix them.

No reason to have a pro draft until the pro version of the game comes out, and they had said previous this might be in about a year when the game comes to consoles.

It would be silly for them not to include that. They are setting up a massive universe if they tie all these leagues together, and I would give them MAJOR credit for doing so. You could play your college series, get your players into the pro draft, the guys that don't get drafted could then perhaps get into the CFL to play. No other game could offer this kind of depth, and I really hope they do it like this.

I think it would be cool to have college level, pro NFL style level, and a CFL level. This way, players not drafted by the NFL could have potential to go into the CFL draft and develop there. NFL teams could sign CFL free agents and vice-versa. This would be an awesome thing to have for an extremely immersive universe for tons and tons of content creation. Arena leagues could be a fun add-on as well.

Wtf are spring rules
@TheChallenger1000Ай бұрын
@Maximum Entertainment Gonna be blunt here: if you need a bunch of people to tell you to put in different rule sets in a customizable game, then you're already losing the plot. It was already a mistake to not have had pro rules from the start and miscalculating on the college angle (you didn't think EA was coming back to college football), but it appears that you don't understand the mistake you're making here which may prove to be a larger problem in the long run. You've got something good here. Don't fug it up by not recognizing the common sense things you should be doing.
