I watched a channel where a woman refurbished vintage sheepskin bags that were in good condition. She dampened a soft cloth with leather cleaner, then leather lotion, and blotted it dry. She applied lotion three times until the bag stopped absorbing it, then polished it off with a dry cloth. Any scratches are gone. She says you can use a high-quality black leather polish on the worn corners of a black bag. Alternatively, you can have your bag sent for a "spa" by a reputable restorer. It comes out like new. You can't do that with caviar. I mean, sure, but the scuffs and scratches won't go away. *condup*

I think one of the biggest arguments against fakes is that it takes business away from brands, but I disagree. Original Chanel Caviar Bag, the stitching started to unravel after three weeks. Took it back to the Chanel boutique here and it took three months to fix. I like you so honestly about everything. When someone takes *condup* to meet them on the street, no one can tell whether they are really or false because you cannot analyze it so much. The reason I hate LV and the reason I no longer buy them is that when many people meet you on the street, you think your bag is fake. This is annoying. I think luxury has lost its luster as many of us have now dabbled in it to some degree or another and have discovered that expensive things do not bring lasting happiness. It's not worth swiping a credit card or giving up other pleasures/experiences just to save up for an overpriced bag. I have a calfskin Reissue mini pouch in Classic size Medium/Large and for me it has the size, discreetness and softness to be my everyday bag.
