Stumbled on this band during filming of the video at Kingsweston House in Bristol. They deserve all the success they get.

The spirit of 1977 lives on and believe me I was there - pistols gigs etc. Born a rocker, die a rocker - Respect those like Coach Party who are keeping the vibe alive and a pox on everything else.

I listened to The Last Dinner Party on BBC6 Music... most impressed. Excellent music, considerably better than I anticipated, and even the improvising in their songs. And their attitude 'spot on...!' I find nothing as insincere and lacking 'courage...' than people who pretend to be "cool" for use of a better word - just for the sake of it. "Passion..." requires 'courage!'

Was lucky enough to stumble across Coach Party when they were supporting The Mysterines in Glasgow in March. Wow, they blew me away! Every bit as good as the band i was there to see, have had them on repeat since that night! Can't wait to see them live again on their own right when i can sing along now! Absolutely awesome, hurry back guys! 🥰 x

It takes a bit to get this balding & generally fairly grumpy teacher smiling on a Tuesday but you guys just totally managed it in Clwb in Cardiff. Jess I was wearing a St Vincent hoodie & you sold me a T Shirt & were very sweet & I wanted to tell you that you were one of my favourite bands since Elastica but I was too shy. Keep rocking CP

These songs 'always' seem to be about how men hurt women... when if you go back far enough in music it seemed the picture was far more 'balanced.' And have to say, while men can be more blatantly hurtful, many women I have found often are in far more subtle but damaging ways? Would be good see more 'balance' in music!?
@danielbroadleyfilms Жыл бұрын
“If you go back far enough in music” - do you mean to a time where women weren’t allowed to speak up? I think your version of “balanced” is just an era where men’s voices were too loud and women’s too quiet. This is balance, it’s just VERY sobering for men to realise how awful our behaviours truly are. Hopefully it will make us all do better if we keep getting called out on it.
@sebastianwrites Жыл бұрын
Did I say that Daniel? No! You are "polarising..." what I said to make your own point, which proves in reality that your own point is not strong? When I say 'balanced...' I mean "balanced!" And sorry, but now I think you're not speaking honestly, but more interested in just weakly pandering to women to gain their favour? When if you "really..." respected women you would be speaking the truth and treat them and criticise them in the same we do men? And if I'm wrong about this, name a song with a 'male' lead vocal where he speaks of being treat badly by a woman? It used to happen, it doesn't now. Yet, there are near 'countless...' examples of women speaking so? In reality I think in many respects, we have just exchanged one injustice for another. Having said that I listened to The Last Dinner Party on BBC6 Music, and I was very impressed with them, and their attitude. However, I still maintain modern music is now female dominated, there are far fewer good solo male artists. If men are not prepared to speak up, and criticise women when necessary, and speak of the imbalances in our society whether for women or men... that's not sexual equality or respectful of not just men, but also women!
