Redshirting doesn't mean a player is leaving. Jerimiah Brown is also redshirting. He is not going to leave. They are announcing they are redshirting because of the 4-game rule. If they play beyond 4 games a player burns a year of eligibility. Bentley and Hill-Green are Graduate Srs with no more eligibility after this year. Why not take another year to continue to develop and come in next year competing for a starting position and get paid NIL?

Yeah, they put weight on Woods and it cut his speed in half it would seem. He wasn't a fast safety, but adequate at 200 pounds. At 224 they said he weighed, no the same athlete. He went from running a 4.6 to 4.8 adding the extra 26 pounds (Trevor said he played last season at 198) in less than a year. Hell, in 9 months, and when you're adding weight, you can't do too much cardio. It showed as woods looked slowed. Now with Chaney backing up Woods, plus Penna, Goldberg, Wester, and Grant, we're alright. There was no way Trevor was going to get his job back with NHG balling out. I was surprised Trevor started the first game. It was clear by half time he wasn't going to be the answer with the extra weight added.

Do I hope Trevor comes back next year? Yes, but as our FS, and I don't see Riley staying after the fall. Carter might go, but if Carter stays he will be the man after safety.

@@cblack3737 He's ok, I didn't isolate Carter this game yet. When I watch the game again I like to look at what each player is doing. I know he missed a few tackles last week, but also made a few solid tackles. Last year at corner, he only allowed 9 yards average per catch on on him, so he can play. First year playing safety, and I would rather have his tackling than Shilo who either spears you, or tries to hug tackle players. I don't know, Shilo is an odd tackler. Either it's the big hit, or he catches you and spin you down, but you've gain a few yards when that happens. Back to Carter, he has the speed, and when he hits, he stops you in your tracks. Another full off season after safety and he's good to go. They tried Riley at SS and he looked better, so Carter is our best option until Shilo returns.

Right, a lot of non-athletes giving their unsolicited two cents about actual athletes and their progression is insane. I quit watching sports because of it. I started watching Colorado because they are an underdog story. Not to make this racial but we BP can take a horrible team and turn it around in two seasons, it's amazing and it makes me so proud. Trevor was going to get a shot at the NFL on Coach Prime's relationships alone. If he leaves now, he may never get another shot. He was not playing the LB position well. I've watched him give up too many plays in the past. I wish him at the best in the future.
